1. Write your own Black Lagoon story. The ______from the Black Lagoon.

2. List some things the children said about the custodian.

3. A custodian has a lot of jobs at a school. Make a list of all the things you think the custodian is responsible for at your school.

4. Who is your custodian(s)? Write down their name(s) and write a short paragraph describ- ing them.

Introduction

1. Ask the children if they know what a custodian is. Discuss. Today’s book is entitled, The Custodian from the Black Lagoon.

2. Have the word “CUSTODIAN” on a sheet of paper. Ask the children if they know what a custodian does. Discuss. Today we will read The Custodian from the Black Lagoon.

3. Have a list of jobs that need to be done around the School, i.e. take out trash, sweep and mop floors, clean restrooms, etc. Ask the students whom they think does these jobs at school. Where do you think the custodian lives? In our story today, we are going to read about the custodian from the Black Lagoon.
