1 No. 2 Agenda Item Discussion, Conclusions, Recommendations Action, Follow- Responsible Due up Party Date I. Call to Chair Pablo Escobar called the meeting to order at 7:36 a.m. Dr. Seth Wexler did Order/Reflections Reflections. He said that reading minutes is not always that exciting as creating new initiatives. He cited the quote “the trouble with humanity is that it forgets to read the minutes of the last meeting.” As we consider the tragic events going around the world, we see conflicts/problems that continuously repeat themselves over and over again as we have forgotten to “read the minutes of the last meeting.” As we look toward challenges/opportunities that face the HS Board such advocacy for healthy behavior, access to quality health care and safe/clean drinking water, we should to remember to read the minutes from previous meetings so we can remember and understand the past perspectives to develop future plans.

I. Approval of Chair Escobar said that May minutes are not subject to approval because the Board Correct typos Ms. Shah Minutes has just received them at the meeting, so they have not been reviewed. Therefore, they will be approved at the next meeting. The June minutes were available for review, so they are available for a motion. Mr. McKinley Wooten made the motion to approve the minutes and Ms. Margaret Raynor seconded the motion. The motion to approve the minutes (with corrections) was approved unanimously. Chair Escobar congratulated and thanked Ms. Amina Shah for doing a great job on the minutes.
