TEAM Lesson Plan Template Teacher: MR. JOHNNY HOWELL CANTRELL JR. Class: CHEMISTRY Period: 1st Period Lesson Title: WRITING WORD EQUATIONS AND BALANCING

LESSON Summary of the task, challenge, investigation, career-related scenario, problem, OVERVIEW or community link The learner will work a series of word equations along with the instructor, in their learning communities, and individually. The instructor will monitor the learner by checking on his/her progress and questions. Problems will be shown on the two projection screens and worked from the instructor's digital station. STANDARDS Identify what you want to teach. Reference State, Common Core, ACT College Readiness Standards and/or State Competencies. CLE: 3221.3.1, CLE: 3221.3.2, CLE: 3221.3.3, CLE: 3221.3.4, & CLE: 3221.3.7 OBJECTIVE Clear, Specific, and Measurable – NOT ACTIVITIES Student-friendly During this lesson the learner will use the law of conservation of mass and provide standard rules for writing and balancing equations. Also, the learner will write and balance equations originally stated in words. ASSESSMENT / Students show evidence of proficiency through a variety of assessments. EVALUATION Students will have a Warm-Up problem before class lecture starts. The provided worksheets will be worked together, in communities, and individually. The other work sheets attached will be given throughout this week in class. Also, we will have a Quick- Check before class ends. Students will be given a worksheet to do at home as well. MATERIALS Aligned with the Lesson Objective Worksheets and EngradePro online worksheets.
