Assignment: Create an Annotated Works Cited of, at least, five scholarly sources for your Conference Paper. At least one must be a book, and, at least, two must be from a scholarly journal. I will only accept one primary source toward your five source minimum. For example, if you are using more than one Director’s Commentary as a source, I will only count one toward the five source minimum. You can still more than one primary source for the paper, but I’ll only count one primary source toward the five source minimum requirement because I want you to use multiple types of sources in your Works Cited.
Note that the entries in an Annotated Works Cited are alphabetized. I’ve only included three sources in this example, but you need five sources for the homework assignment. Be sure and include your name at the top.

Andriano, Joseph. Immortal Monster: The Mythological Evolution of the Fantastic Beast in Modern Fiction and Film. Westport, Connecticut: Greenwood Press, 1999.
Seeing as how my paper is going to be discussing how monsters in movies often reflect our fears of technological change, this would be a very apt book to read. It chronicles the change in monsters in popular fiction over the course of time and how it relates to society coping with human nature and evolution. This should be able to provide some scholarly support for my arguments concerning how monsters in movies have changed to reflect new technologies over the past fifty years.
Clapp, James A. "’It was the City Killed the Beast:’ Nature, Technophobia, and the Cinema of the Urban Future." Journal of Urban Technology 10.3 (2003): 1-18.
This article, in Journal of Urban Technology, delves deeper into the specific aspect of my paper, mainly the parallel evolutions of technological fears and monsters. It is extremely detailed and will go a long way in helping my case. This showcases a lot of the technological evolution that I will be discussing, and how it pertains to film. The Journal of Urban Technology is a scholarly journal and the article is fairly current.
Williams, Linda Ruth. "A Virus is Only Doing its Job." Sight & Sound 3.5 (1993): 30-2.
This is an article detailing the possibilities of the human body as a subject of horror films. This subject is an interesting aspect I can explore in my paper. I am going to try to emphasize more of the contemporary and future evolution of monster movies, so exploring multiple areas which have seen evolution will be crucial. Sight & Sound is an international film magazine associated with the British Film Institute and is an excellent scholarly source. The article is over ten years old, but should still be relevant for my argument.
