Meeting called to order by Booster President – Tina Arvizu

SECRETARY’S REPORT: Previous meeting minutes were APPROVED

TREASURER’S REPORT: Financial Report was APPROVED.

BAND DIRECTOR’S REPORT: Joe Wesche & Shaun Day Shawn Day- FHIMA Jazz Festival will be on 4/23 Joe Wesche- Indoor Percussion and Winter Guard are done for the year. Their old equipment was sold for $3000+. These funds need to be kept separate from other band funds to be used for these groups in the future. The last concert with awards night will be on Tuesday 5/3, Band Blast will be on 5/9. Turpin will be participating in the Newtown Memorial Day Parade but we are still waiting to hear if Anderson will be joining. Still recruiting guard members for next marching season. New drum line equipment was purchased with $16,000 in district funds. They will have custom finishes in school colors. The new pieces will be in by band camp. Band enrollment for next year is looking about the same as this year, despite graduating 40 seniors.

STANDING COMMITTEE NOTES: After prom: Diana Reynolds and Kathy Hengehold On schedule. Still need volunteers. Sign up will be put on website. Old Business: Need volunteers for mulch sale!!!

New Business: -Band Blast will be held at Beech Acres Park due to impending construction on campus. The gazebo will be used for concessions and the silent auction, and the amphitheater will be used for the bands. The park is discounting the rental fee and not charging fee for vendors. Barb Lyons will check on policy for canceling if raining. -Another Scallywag Tag fundraiser will be held on May 14th. A couple volunteers will be needed to help sign in elementary students at 10:00am.
