ABSTRACT ART

Abstract art in general means art which doesn’t represent objects in the genuine world, it is an art which is not a true interpretation of an object or form . Utilizing colour and shape this interpretation can vary in numerous ways. Simplifying or exaggerating an object deforms the natural state of it and creates an entirely distinct look. There are three styles that stand out from the many abstract art styles. Cubism is an analytical method used to abstract forms in which the subject primary geometric solid is painted. Neoplasticism is a style which is believed that the duplication of actual objects is mot true art: that art should be a representation of the perfection of life. Primary colours and lines vertical and horizontal, were the only perfections to these artists. The third style is abstract expressionism. With this style , the painter expresses his / her personality using spontaneity.

FIGURATIVE ART

Figurative art is art which is obtained from actual objects sources. They are by definition representational. Usually, figurative art portrays the human figure or possibly even an animal figure. Though often correct, this is not necessarily the case. Since the birth of abstract art the genre of figurative art can be used to ascribe to any style of modern art retaining a solid reference to reality and the real world .Therefore, painting can split into groups of figurative and abstract art even though abstract art is abstracted from a source that is figurative. However abstract art is mostly used as to describe art that which is non -representational – art that has no origination from objects or figures. . Figurative art must come from a real source. It must represent a figure or an object which there is a real world origin existing.

Children

A work of art depicting a child portrays a sense of innocence and unadulterated beauty. Children in art represent a pure image of human nature. Usually art with children as subject matter expresses delightful images, but occasionally , more harsh visions are portrayed making a very powerful and dramatic work. Children have been depicted in art since earliest times and their role in it has not differed much from then until now. Many parents create art or have created by an artist .representing their child. Because of their great adoration fro their child, this is their way of immortalizing them. A child in a painting can add a sense of youth and joyfulness and leave a viewer with the feeling of inner bliss. Children are a delicate subject matter and depending on how they are depicted , can portray seriousness , humour , ecstatic happiness or sombre melancholy.

PORTRAITURE

Portraiture is an artistic representation of someone when the face and the expression on the face is the main focus. The purpose is to portray the personality , likeness and mood that the person is in. the artist’s goal is to catch the essence of the person. An artist creates their portraits off commission or more personally , get inspiration from the strong admiration and / or affection they have for the subject. A self portrait is the result of an artist portraying him / herself. With a photograph a snapshot would not generally be considered a portrait . A portrait would be a composed image displaying a person in a stationary position . Usually a person looks directly at the artist in a portrait to most effectively involve the subject with a viewer. In the western world one of the most famous portraits is Leonardo da Vinci’s painting of a woman titled ‘ the Mona Lisa’
