2009 會考英文作文示例 1

Question is you see one article in the newspaper "Some parents would like to teach their children at home, they don't send their their children to school". write a reply letter to the editor, whether you think this is a good idea. My answer Dear Editor, Every parents want their children to have the best education.

Nowadays there are many crisises in sending children to school. For example:There are many bullyings in school. Therefore it might be safer to let the children stay at school. There are also drug abuse and drug selling problem.

It seemed to be also safer to let the students stay at school.

It is conceivable(=comprehensible) of the parents’s worry.

The pensive parents have neglected the multi-function of school. Firstly, all the children should be interact with others as early as possible. They can hide before their parents for ever. They have to learn how to communicate with others.School is a right place to learn communication. If the children find being bullied, they can tell their teachers, their partents or the police to solve the problems. They have to learn how to solve the bullying.Evading can’t slove the problems.

Secondly, educating them the meaning of taking drugs and telling them the disadvantages of taking drugs are the most important ways to protect them from smoking or drug taking.

Thirdly, there are many teachers who have different qualifications. No matter how high the parents are in certain subject, they can’t replace the teachers. The parents have to work in daytime.Although some mothers do not need to work outside, they have a lot of housework to do.They have to meet their friends. Some parents also may not be strict or serious to teach their children.

Finally, school is not only to teach them academic lessons. There are also many educational skills at school such as moral, intelligence (IQ), emotional quotient (EQ),physical education(PE) and arts and crafts. The children should have to stay in groups to learn.

To my conclusion, the school education is not replacable by parents.

Best regards!

Yours faithfully,
