Short-term Chinese culture exchange program 1.The Program Curricula • Four weeks long—20 hours of teaching per week,4 teaching hours each morning(8:30-11:30),Monday—Friday • Content of curricula : Chinese Charaters, Chinese traditional clothing culture & history, Chinese Calligraphy, Chinese Painting, Taijiquan(shadow boxing) and Wushu •Highly-qualified and experienced teachers •Small class size (10 students) for high interaction among instructors and students •Combination of Cultural exposure and Cultural activities and experience in class

Activities • Inner city tours are offered once a week ( Hubei museums, Hubei art gallery, Yellow Crane Tower, East lake, Guiyuan Temple, Ancient Performance Stage etc.) •Outside city tour is offered in the last week of the 4 weeks programme (Wudang mountain,Three Gorges and Shennongjia etc.) • Celebrating Chinese traditional Festival with all the teachers and students from WTU.

2. Schedule and Application Period 1) Short-term Chinese culture exchange program has three sessions, respectively 4 weeks. First session: from March 4 to March 29, 2013; registration date is March 2. Second session: from May 13 to June 7, 2013; registration date is May 10. Third session: from Sep., 16 to Oct.,11, 2013; registration date is Sep.,14. ★ The exact opening date is available in Acceptance Letter. Application period: ① Before 90 days before the registration day.

2) Group application is welcomed and the courses and schedules may be varied according too the group’s requirements. Please contact with the Office of International Student Affairs if you have any special requests.

3. Application Qualifications Applicants should be Non-Chinese citizens, senior high school graduates, over 16 and under 60 years old, in good health, and with reliable financial support and custody. 4. Application Materials 1) WTU Application Form (Non-Degree Programs), available at Download Center. 2) Photocopy of diploma. 3) 3 passport photos (in size of 5cm * 4cm). 4) Photocopy of passport.

5. Acceptance and Visas 1) WTU checks applicant’s application materials. 2) Once accepted, the applicant will receive an Acceptance Letter and a “Visa Application for Foreigners Wishing to Study in China” (Form JW202). 1) With these documents the applicant can go to the nearest Chinese Embassy or Consulate for visa application. ★ Be sure to have all the above-mentioned documents back after the visa application, which Will be required for applying for a residence permit in China.

6. Registration Applicant shall bring his Acceptance Letter, Form JW202 and passport to register with WTU at required time. Meanwhile, he is required to pay the tuition .If one cannot register as required because of some problems, he has to inform the Office of Dept. of International Cooperation & Development .

7. Tuition and Fees (in RMB) Duration Tuition 3 weeks 4000 4 weeks 5500 ★ Tuition and any other fees are not refundable once they have been paid to WTU.
