Greek and Roman Gods (or at least mythological characters) Project

You will create a trading card (like a baseball card) of the Greek and Roman god/goddess or mythological character that you are assigned. You use a laptop to locate and record information about this assignment. If you use the laptop for purposes other than those described here, the laptop will be taken away and you will do this project using information from a book.

You will work with a partner on this project.

Description: o Printed material will be glued to construction paper.

Front Side o Greek AND Roman names of god, goddess or mythological character. o Image(s) of your assigned god, goddess or mythological character. o Decorated border

Back Side o Details about birth, parents, etc. o If god or goddess, what they are god of, what their powers are, etc. o If mythological character, then character traits. o Information about what happened in stories involving this god, goddess or mythological character in bullet form (NOT paragraph form) IN YOUR OWN WORDS

 Go to “bartelskinsey.wikispaces.com”.  Click on “Greek and Roman Gods (& Mythological Characters)”.  Read the Scoring Guide for the project on the back of this paper so you know how you will be graded on this.  Type information for the Back Side of your trading card in a Work or Comic Life document.  Find and save images of the god, goddess or mythological character you have been assigned on the web.  Use at least one of the images to make the Front Side of your trading card.  Save this work in a file (Word or Comic Life) on the DESKTOP of your computer. The file name should be “YOUR NAME.greek”.  Notify the teacher that you have done this.  When the teacher informs you that he has downloaded your work, you can work on Study Island or Cool Math.  The teacher will print out your material by Friday.  On Friday, glue your material to construction paper.  On Friday, you will present your trading card to the class.
