MC Earl Matchett MC Earl Matchett Jesus Christ is on his way to Jerusalem and a group of lepers called out, “Jesus, have mercy on LEM Rob Wheeler LEM Leslie Valentine us.” Jesus heals them and one returned to Jesus and thanked him. My reflection today is about the Acolytes Luke Cahill Acolytes Ty Ellenbogen one who returned. What motivated the Samaritan to return to the Rabbi to thank him for giving Emma Cahill Chloe Findlay his life back? Jesus certainly knew that the leper had nothing to offer him in return. We can Colby Tracy Timmy Kusterbeck assume that God’s grace, mercy, and compassion motivated Jesus to heal them. So why would the Carleigh Tracy James Conolly leper want to thank him? I believe that God calls us to give thanks for everything we have. With a Kayla Andrews Wade Holden thankful heart, we are able to be healed of more than our physical ailments. We are made whole Thalia Tosetti Samantha Goldbaum when we realize that everything comes through the mercy and grace of God. Jesus Christ came Jacob Goldbaum that you may have life and live it more abundantly. Abundant life is a life lived in thankfulness. Lector 1 Noelle DeLorenzo Lector 1 Ty Ellenbogen Please share your despair with others and listen to their despair in return. We are created in the Lector 2 Emma Cahill Lector 2 James Conolly image of God to be merciful and thankful to others. Let your love flow in your life in everything you do. Give thanks for everything you have and don’t worry about the nine lepers that did not return. The harvest is great and the laborers are few. The older I get the more I am fascinated by nature and the less I get frustrated by ridiculous people. I often get cut off on the roads, but I don’t let it bother me. I often see ten percent of the people giving generously of their time and donations and it doesn’t bother me. I think that being the one who is thankful is all that matters. I doubt you’ll win the lottery because you are a good person and you are just as susceptible to disease as anyone else. But I believe that finding your place in the family of things is important. If you choose the path of Jesus Christ, then you will be blessed with a thankful heart and an abundant life. Robert Frost said, “Two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the one less traveled and that has made all the difference.” Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door, $15 Students with proper ID and Senior Citizens.
