MINUTES, WEEK OF JANUARY 9, 2017

The Board of Trustees met on Monday, January 9, 2017, at the Butler Township Government Center, 3780 Little York Road, Dayton, Ohio, at 7:00pm for a Regular Session to transact the business of the township.

Joseph Flanagan, Vice President called the meeting to order. Nick Brusky was excused from the meeting.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES The Minutes of December 29, 2016, Regular Session, were submitted for approval. Michael Lang made a motion to approve the Regular Session Minutes December 29, 2016, as submitted, with Joseph Flanagan seconding and approving the motion.

HEARING OF THE PUBLIC There were no comments from the audience at this time.

ADMINISTRATOR’S RECOMMENDATIONS Case No. ZC-5-16 is a proposed amendment to the Butler Township Zoning Map, for the rezoning of approximately 6.10 acres at 7919 N. Dixie Drive. Ms. Vogel stated that she would like to table rezoning case until the next regular schedule meeting of January 23, 2017, due to the fact that Trustee, Nick Brusky was not in attendance and therefore would not be able to hear the case.

Michael Lang submitted a motion to request to table the public hearing for Case No. ZC-5-16 and Resolution 17-1, until the next regular scheduled meeting on January 23, 2017, as submitted, with Joseph Flanagan seconding and approving the motion.

No discussion was made on this agenda item

Joseph Flanagan called the roll for a vote: Michael Lang – Yes, Joseph Flanagan - Yes. Motion was approved, 2-0.

Resolution #17-2 was submitted. Michael Lang made a motion Accepting the 2016 Annual Township Highway System Mileage Certification as Certified by the County Engineer’s Office, as submitted, with Joseph Flanagan seconding and approving the motion.

No discussion was made on this agenda item.

Joseph Flanagan called the roll for a vote: Michael Lang – Yes, Joseph Flanagan - Yes. Resolution #17-2 was approved, 2-0.

Michael Lang submitted a motion Authorizing the Township Administrator to Sign the Electric Governmental Aggregation Program Operation and Governance Plan, Certification Application and Affidavit as provided by Trebel, LLC, as submitted, with Joseph Flanagan seconding and approving the motion.

No discussion was made on this agenda item.

Joseph Flanagan called the roll for a vote: Michael Lang – Yes, Joseph Flanagan - Yes. Motion was approved, 2-0.

INFORMAL BUSINESS Police Chief Porter had no further business to report.

Fire Chief Alig wanted to publicly give his appreciation and thanks to all the department heads and the administrative staff that helped him when he was Acting Administrator.

Fiscal Officer, Mark Adams had no further business to report.

Trustee, Michael Lang wanted to welcome 2017 and to apologize to all the people who came out for the Zoning Case that was tabled.

Trustee, Joseph Flanagan had no further business to report.

Administrator, Erika Vogel also thanked Chief Alig for his support while she was on maternity leave. She had no further business to report. Michael Lang reported that the trustees have reviewed the financial statements and made a motion for approval to pay the bills of the township, as submitted, with Joseph Flanagan seconding and approving the motion.

Michael Lang made a motion for approval to adjourn the meeting at 7:04pm, with Joseph Flanagan seconding and approving the motion.
