Guidelines for Inputting Answers into the Platform
These guidelines will allow your answers to be self-grading, thus giving you instant feedback.
For answers with no number in the ones place, put a “leading 0:” 0.7 not .7
Always simplify fractions (unless the directions tell you not to)
Leave a space between numbers and symbols (except when writing negative numbers): 4 + 2 = 6
not 4+2=6
Use the “^” to indicate an exponent: 6^2 (no space)
Use commas when writing numbers 1,000 and above: 5,479,123 not 5479123
When typing in a mixed number put the fraction part inside parenthesis: 1(3/5)
