A two-day information and demonstration event providing the participants with the most current information regarding noise induced hearing loss and tinnitus in children and state-of-the-art interventions and dissemination methodologies for effective prevention. Call for Poster Presentations

 Are you actively engaged in hearing loss prevention targeting youth?

 Have you conducted your own outreach or intervention program?

 Have you measured sound levels that youth are exposed to?

 Has your school or organization conducted a survey or learned new information about noise- induced hearing loss and tinnitus in youth?

If yes, then consider sharing your project, experience or research in poster to an engaged audience at the conference.

Who: Students, teachers, physicians, public health experts, clinical, educational and occupational audiologists, speech-language pathologists, music educators, museum educators, industrial and military representatives, hearing conservationists, industrial hygienists, school nurses, hearing loss prevention advocates, all coming together to update and share information.

What: Present projects that showcase innovative, technical, or strategic approaches to prevention of NIHL in children.

When: October 15th and 16th, 2013

Where: 3M Innovation Center, 2326 Minnehaha Avenue, Maplewood, MN

How: Complete the Poster Presentation Sessions application (next page) by August 16, 2013, with an abstract of your topic/project/research (200 words or less). EMAIL to [email protected] www.dangerousdecibels.org/innovations/ Selected participants will display a 36” x 48” informational poster in the conference exhibit area and answer questions during the lunch time poster sessions on each day of the 2-day conference. Participants are encouraged to attend both sessions if possible.

Acceptance and Registration: Conference attendance is complimentary to all attendees. Registrations are available and will be reserved for a limited number of poster presenters whose abstracts are accepted. Selection will be made and applicants will be notified by mid-August, 2013. Please register at the conference website if you plan to attend the event as soon as possible.
