Supplies: 1” Binder with dividers Notebook Paper Colored pencils Markers Ruler Box of Kleenex Adult scissors Glue sticks Ziplock bags

Grading: Each six week grade will be calculated in the following way; homework (50%), exams/quizzes (50%).

Rules: 1. No food or drink in the classroom. 2. Follow directions the first time. 3. Complete all assignments on time. 4. Do your own work. 5. Stay seated unless told otherwise. 6. Be to class on time. 7. Respect – Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourself. 8. Do not touch class pets, unless asking first.

Consequences: Now that you are in high school you are considered young adults. I expect you to act accordingly. I will not tolerate breaking of the rules. Punishments are determined by the student code of conduct.

Classroom Procedures:

Before Class Begins 1. Enter the room quietly 2. Sit in assigned seat 3. Have your book, and supplies with you when you enter. Failure to bring supplies to class will result in a writeup.

First Minutes of Class 1. Attendance will be checked at this time, if you are not in your assigned seat you will be counted absent, unless you have a note. 2. If you were absent, YOU are responsible for getting your missed assignments and turning them in according to school guidelines. During Class:

During teacher presentation of material; take notes, be attentive, and raise your hand to ask questions or to respond to questions.

1. When supplies are used, students are responsible for these supplies and cleaning of their area. 2. If working in groups, members should be courteous, respectful, and work quietly. Each member will be required to turn in individual work. 3. Do not get on a computer without permission 4. Do not have your phone out without permission 5. Do not handle animals without permission

Homework Requirements: 1. Put name, date and page number in top right hand corner of paper. 2. Give the paper the proper title 3. Use loose-leaf notebook paper, no paper from a spiral will be accepted. 4. Homework is due at the required time. Plenty of time will be given for in class assignments. If late: day 1, -10 pts ; day 2, -20pts; day 3, - 30pts; day 4 = zero. 5. Students in ISS are required to complete all work by the end of the day. ISS is not considered an absence and no extra time will be given for work.

Quizzes and Exams: 1. Must be completed within the required time limits. 2. I must be able to read your response, or it will be counted as incorrect. 3. Cheating is not acceptable, and a zero will be given on the exam. 4. After you finish the exam, you will sit quietly at your desk until everyone is finished.

I have high expectations for all my students. I want each of you to have a successful year. I ask that you be willing to work with me to obtain the goals that I have set for you and the goals that you will set for yourself.
