a) Grizzly Gridiron Club b) April Booster Meeting Minutes April 12, 2017 Type of Meeting: Welcome Members to the Grizzly Gridiron Club Meeting Facilitator was: Ernie Esqueda, President Board in Attendance: Ernie Esqueda, President Laura Hauser, Treasurer Julie Marron, Co-Treasure Kathy Tuttle-Secretary c) Called to order:

 Meeting was called to order at 6:00pm by Booster President Ernie Esqueda.

 No Minutes distributed, first booster meeting of the 2017 Season.

 Purpose of meeting was to discuss 2017 season. d) Open issues: a) Treasure’s report: Approximately $9,000 in account after paying all bills.

b) GBEF Update: None

c) Volunteer Opportunities (Skybox, Program, Thursday feeds, Pop Warner Night)  Lisa Malone volunteered to run the Skybox.  All other positions are open.

d) JV/V Kickoff 5/1, Frosh Kickoff 5/8  6:00pm and will be held in Redwood Hall both dates  Kathy T., Ernie, Michele E., Michelle T., Laura H. and Claudia will set up, distribute materials and collect contact information of players and families.  If there is desired information that you would like covered at the meeting please email request to Coach Hauser prior to the meeting.  Hope to have athletic handbooks to distribute at meetings along with schedules for season etc.

e) Booze Bros Fundraiser (Sunday 6/4)

 Discussion of having food catered this year with some raffling of baskets etc. (Fun & simple event. No casino night.) f) MH Painting Volunteers:  Volunteers needed to paint the MH. Hope is to get painted before graduation. Day & Time TBA.

g) Paint & Wine Fundraiser?  A vote was taken to host a Paint/Wine Fundraiser-A Yes vote is recorded.  Date, Time & location TBA

h) Coach Hauser Update:  At the end of the school year a new PATCH will be installed. It will have new flooring with indoor/outdoor mats, a paw, and treated logs. This is a training source used a great deal with the frosh players.  June 20th is the last day of the school year. August 22nd is the start of the 2017-18 year, which is earlier than last.  Reminder about the JV/V & Frosh Kick-off Meetings.  Spring Practice will last 15 days and starts May 15th.  June is the first practice day for the Frosh.  Coach distributed Practice & games schedules. All can be located on the website as well.  Some changes to our “usual” passing schedule-adding LCC June 24th, which will focus on transitioning players. Considering adding Passing Tourney in Oside, TBA on July 15th. Adding passing scrimmages with Ramona, Mira Mesa and Vihillia.  No Spring Game scheduled at this time.  Spirit Pack information coming out soon! Keep your eye open and ask your son about. Window to purchase online is only open for a short time (approx..5-7 days). May open again in summer for a short time to add on to order if you need to.  Regular Season Calendar review: 5 games, bye, 5 games. Dates for Senior Night and Homecoming not established yet.  Testing at Dates MHHS for students will be in May-1st two weeks, bell schedule will be different.
