5.1.1: SKIRT, WOMEN
FABRIC: 100% POLYESTER Comfort-Fiber
COLOR: Spruce Green, Shade #8772
STYLE: “A” line, or Department approved equivalent. Adjustable waistband with button closure, Two inset pockets.
WAISTBAND: Double self goods, one pierce approximately 1” wide with a stretch Ban-rol, or equivalent, interlining. Front end to be finished with an approximate 2” extension with pointed edge, and with an approximate ¾” horizontal buttonhole center on end of extension. Two (2) 22 Ligne Polymer, or equivalent, matching buttons sewn on inside of front of waistband approximately 2 ½” from edge of waistband.
POCKETS: One Pocket on each side of skirt with and opening off each side seam approximately 7” long. Pockets to be approximately 12” long and 6 ½” wide and set into the waistband seam at top. Pocket to be made of self fabric and stitched to side seam approximately 2” down to side seam approximately 2” below pocket opening.
SEWING: Side seams and pocket to be SSA-1 stitch type, 301 standard, 8-10 stitches per inch. Edges and seams serged. Hem blind stitched.
5.1.2: TROUSERS, DRESS STYLE FOR MEN
COLOR: SPRUCE
FABRIC: 75% Dacron Polyester, 25% Wool , Gabardine weave-Mechanical stretch 10% Breaking Strength: 125 Lbs. In the Warp, 80 Lbs. In the Filling. Weight 11.00- 11.50 Oz. per linear yard. Construction: 77 ends per inch, 56 picks per inch. Fiber Length: Wool equals 3-3.5 inches average minimum, Polyester equals 3 inches minimum Dye Procedure: Piece Dyed.
STYLE: The style shall conform to modern updated contour cut men’s uniform trousers. Plain front, 2 front and 2 back pockets. Front pockets are quarter top style with a minimum of 5" opening. The front pockets will have separate handset inside facing to give four-ply strength at the entry of the pockets. The front pockets will be hung to the side seam of the trousers and locked with a bar-tack at the top and bottom of the pocket opening. The two back pockets will have a Reece piped entry. They will have a minimum opening of 5". The left back pocket will have a tab to button closure. They will be bartacked on right and left side for extra strength. Front and back pockets are to be stitched, turned and topstitched.

BELT LOOPS: All belt loops are to be lined and of double thickness butted on reverse side and blind stitched. They shall be a minimum of 5/8" wide by 2" long and are to be sewn into the waistband seam at top and bottom.
WAISTBAND: Outside waistband is to be a minimum of 2” wide (self-material). It will be sewn to the waistband lining at top and waistband curtain is then blind stitched at the bottom.
WAISTBAND CONSTRUCTION: Right fly lining and crotch piece extension lined with same material as pocketing. (To be one piece and sewn down flat). There is to be continuous French fly extension at the end of the French fly that will attach to button that is sewn on left side of waistband lining. Left fly is to be lined and corded.
INNER WAISTBAND: Inner waistband to be Comfort in Action IV with XI.91 interlining. Inner waistband to be composed in two parts, a 2-1/2” wide two-zone inner waistband and a 1” wide interlining of elastic. The 2-1/2” wide inner waistband shall be composed of a 4% nylon/ 86% Polyester/ 10% Spandex. It will have 45% manual elongation and a two-zone construction. The upper zone is stiff to give body to upper waistband portion and help prevent waistband rollover and ribbed to help hold shirttail in. The lower part is soft to stretch around the hips, supporting the slack. The 1” wide stiff elastic will be an interlining to form the cap of the trousers and help prevent waistband rollover. This elastic shall be composed of 5% Nylon Monofilament / 84% Polyester / 11% Spandex with a manual elongation of 35% (+ or – 10%). Waistband is blindstitched, not topstitched to assure banding stretch. Bottom portion is specially beamed and warped in a diagonal twill portion of band, approximately ¼” high letters (CIA III or IV), with a 4.75” separation between each identification repeat.
ZIPPER & CLOSURE: Talon (Gripper-Zipper) #42 Brass or equivalent will also have metal bottom stop, permanent press treated tape, hook-flex steel waistband closure.
STITCHING, PRESSING AND FINISHING: The trousers must be stitched with matching thread and all stitching must be 10-11 stitches per inch. The trousers must be neatly pressed on hot head presses and properly shaped. Outseams and inseams must be pressed open to maintain a neat and professional appearance. The trousers must be cleaned and finished to eliminate loose threads. There must be a Texpak clip attached to the top fly of the finished trousers to insure shape retention during shipping.
POCKETING: All pocketing will be made of a polyester/cotton blend permanent dress drill with an approximate content of 50% polyester / 50% cotton in the spun warp- 100% texturized polyester in the filling; for a total content of 70% polyester / 30% cotton. Pocketing will harmonize with color of trousers and waistband. Pocketing shall test to a minimum abrasion of 225 cycles per ASTM D3886. (Inflated Diaphragm) for

the uncoated area; Bottom of front pockets, (aprox. 2-1/2"), shall be Dura Ruff coated. Area shall test to a minimum abrasion of 1100 cycles before initial rupture. This shall substantially increase pocket strength over reinforced pockets without the unsightly ridges of double pockets.
LABELING: All trousers will be finished with a woven (not printed) label, permanently affixed. It will include the correct fiber content of the fabric and identification of brand as well as garment care instructions.
CREASING: Front & Back Fashion Set permanent creases. Fashion Set is a special process for permanent front and back creases, formed by an invisible resin treatment. It is bonded to the inside of the trousers, insuring clean, sharp, straight creases. Fashion Set is not a baked-in process that can burn or damage cloth fibers.
CROTCH LINING: Back panels to have crotch liners. Triangular dimensions of crotch liners are to be approximately 3-1/2” x 9”. Crotch lining to be made of black satin 100% Polyester fabric
CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Dry-clean or machine-wash warm with like colors. (90 to 100 degrees F.) (32 to 43 degrees C.) Tumble-dry (120 degrees F.) (49 degrees C.) Warm iron if needed.
SIZES: To be sizes 28,29,30,31,32,33,34,35,36,37,38,40 to 50 (even sizes only) in open unfinished lengths to be hemmed to individual request.
All measurements are approximate and "based" on size 34. All other sizes are graded from these measurements according to size.

5.1.4: TROUSERS, WORK STYLE FOR MEN/WOMEN
FABRIC: 65% polyester, 35% combed cotton, 8 oz. per square yard, 3 x 1 right hand twill with a post-cured finish. Fabric must be treated with “Soil-bar” soil release and wicking finish, or equivalent process, and have a post-cured finish. All colors must be vat dyed.
COLOR: Spruce Green
STYLE: Shall be made on a uniform pattern with a plain front with 2 quarter top pockets and 2 back pockets.
POCKETS: The front pockets shall have a minimum opening of 6” and be a minimum 6” deep from the bottom of the opening. They are to be stitched, turned and restitched. The inside front pocket facing shall be a separate piece of self material finishing no less than 1¼” wide. The back pockets will have a minimum opening of 5” and be a minimum 5¾” deep. The pocket closure over the left pocket shall be ¾” wide and blind stitched so that no stitching shall be seen on the outside of the loop. The front and back pockets shall have two straight bar tacks, one on each side.

POCKETING: All pocketing shall be made of a polyester/polyester-cotton fabric and the color shall harmonize with the outer fabric color. All front pocketing shall have a 2½” Dura Ruff coating. (See above).
WAISTBAND: The waistband shall be a minimum of 1½” wide and shall be closed with a crushproof hook and eye, the eye being bar tacked, or other reinforced stitching, for stability. The waistband curtain a polyester/polyester-cotton fabric with the color of the fabric to harmonize with the outer fabric. No roll waistband stiffener, minimum 5/8” in width, shall be sewn into the waistband on the front of the trouser from side seam to side seam. The trousers are to be made with a continuous close waistband.
FLY: The right fly lining will be the same fabric and color as the waistband curtain. The right fly lining shall be sewn to the left fly below the zipper. A separate French fly made of the outer fabric shall be sewn to the inside right fly.
BELT LOOPS: There shall be a minimum of 5 drop belt loops on waist sizes 28,29,30 a minimum of 7 on all sizes over 30. Each loop is to be a minimum of 5/8” wide and blind stitched so no stitching shall be seen on the outside of the loop. Except for the center back loop which shall be tacked on, all loops will be sewn into the rocap and bar tacked ¼” below the waistband so as to accommodate a 1¾” belt.
ZIPPER: The trousers shall be closed with a Scovil Guardloc or equivalent brass zipper and have a brass bottom stop at the base of the zipper chain. A straight bar tack, or other reinforced stitching, will be sewn through from the outside of the garment to the inside at the bottom of the fly. It shall be sewn through the zipper tape, the right and left fly and the right fly lining. The right and left fly shall be joined by an additional bar tack, or other reinforced stitching, located below the bottom zipper stop on the inside of the trouser.
SEAMING: The entire trouser is to be seamed with polyester core or 100% polyester spun thread. The seat seams shall be stitched with a tandem needle seat seaming machine. All exposed inside seams of the trousers are to be serged.
FINISHING AND PRESSING: All loose threads shall be removed. Trousers must have Lintrak seam retention, or equivalent process, applied as part of the manufacturing process. No post- production will be accepted. Trousers must be pressed completely and properly with the side seam, inseam, and seat seam pressed open.

CONSTRUCTION/DETAILS:
WAISTBAND: Waistband will be constructed of 1-ply self-fabric, folded and finished 1½” wide. Ends are single needle closed to yield a clean finish. The zipper is double needle stitch.
BAND CLOSURE: Band closure is by means of one hook & eye centered on the band 1½” from the finished edge. Center of horizontal buttonhole will be set ¾” in from the folded edge of band.
BELT LOOPS: Belt loops measuring ½” wide finished will be bar tacked at top and bottom. Loop opening measures 1¾”. Belt loops are bar tack set top and bottom. Loop placement is as follows: 7-loops 3 each side (evenly spaced) one on seat seam
FLY: Right fly will have a folded extension serged at the side and bottom with the zipper sandwiched between the extension seam. Folded right fly measures 1¾”. Left fly will have a set facing with the side serged. Zipper will have bar tacks at bottom of left fly and at join seam over “J” stitch (2). Zipper lengths are as follows:
Size Length 28.36 7” 38 – up 9”
FRONT POCKETS: Front pockets are Patch Pocket Style. Pocket is attached to the front and double needle top stitched. Pockets will have horizontal bar tacks at top and vertical at side seam of pocket opening.
HIP POCKETS: Pants will have a left and right hip patch pocket. Hip pockets will have a flap style pocket button closure. Pocket opening measures 5½”; corners are bar tacked. Both pockets will have a button flap closure. Pocket and pocket flap are double needle stitched.
FLAPS: Pockets have flaps with fusible interlining. Flaps are cut two pieces, ¼” double needle stitched. Pocket flaps are double needle set.
HEM: Shorts will be single needle lockstitch hemmed and finish ½” wide with fold under. Inseam will finish at 7”.

FINISHING: Each garment will be trimmed, inspected, and neatly folded.
5.1.6: SHIRT, LONG SLEEVE, DRESS, ZIPPER STYLE FOR MEN
FABRIC: Milliken, Fabric #7025 or Department approved equivalent. 100% texturized Dacron polyester (featherweight) gabardine weave. 2 x 1 construction, 7.0 oz. per linear yard of 4.3 oz (+ or - .25) per square yard. Fast color, guaranteed washable, with minimum shrinkage. Permanent press, subject to washing care instruction. Fabric to include VISA finish, a soil release that combines with it color bright retention and moisture absorbency for maximum comfort.
COLOR: Light Green (Lagoon) Shade #2534 or Department approved equivalent.
STYLE: Long sleeve permanent press police shirt with concealed zipper front and convertible collar, tapered form fit. Collar and sleeve length size to be in 14 – 14¼ thru 20, with sleeve lengths from 32 thru and including 37, as per size charts as listed below. Stitched-in military creases.
COLLAR: Convertible style collar - points approximately 3¼’ long; top stitched 3/16” from edge; die cut with permanent heat tacked collar stays with a two piece yoke 3” deep. Outside yoke top-stitched. Inside yoke and Banana to have lining.
FRONT: To have 1½” placket on top center front. Zipper to be sandwiched and to extend from the second to the sixth buttonhole with the stitch to be concealed under the center strip. Front to have (7) buttons and buttonholes.
FLAPS: One piece, die cut and creased to ensure uniformity. Flaps are to measure a minimum of 5½” wide and be 2½” long at sides, and a minimum of 2¾” long at center point with deep scallops, with gripper snaps on underside of flap and on pocket. Snaps are not to be visible on top of the flap. Hand sewn or dressmaker snaps will not be acceptable. Pencil division through both flaps. Flap to be lined with 100%/Dacron lining. Flaps to have button sewn on top approximately 5/8” above points. Flaps to have 1/16” stitched center crease.
POCKETS: Die cut and creased to ensure uniformity. Two breast pockets with ½” hem; 1½” box pleats stitched to prevent spreading. Pockets to be a minimum of 5½” deep and 5¼” wide with mitered corners. Both pockets to have pencil division 1½”. Each pocket to have 1/16” stitched-in creases.
BADGE Inside sling type badge holder of self goods approximately 1-1/2” wide to extend from SLING: joining seam to pocket of left front. Two small buttonholes, approximately 1” apart with the lower buttonhole approximately 1” above the flap.
SLEEVES: One piece with top placket a minimum of 1” wide, button placket ½” wide. Plackets to be a minimum of 4 ½” long from top of cuff with opening approximately 5”. One

button and buttonhole on sleeve facings. Each sleeve shall have an elbow reinforcement extending to top of cuff. The sleeves must be secured to the body of the shirt by means of a merrow stitch with a safety stitch so as to properly strengthen the stitch.
CUFFS: Minimum 2½” wide with ½” hem; and approximate 3/16” top stitching. Double buttons with corresponding buttonholes, approximately 1” apart, on each cuff.
FINISHED LENGTH SIZES

SHOULDER STRAPS (EPAULETS): To measure 2” at sleeve head and tapered to approximate 1⅝” at ends which are pointed approximate 1”. Straps to be stitched to shoulders by single needle machine forming and X. Length of straps to graduated conforming to size of shirt. Buttons attached to yokes to match shoulder strap buttonholes.
STITCHED CREASE: There shall be one 1/16” stitched-in crease on each front and three 1/16” stitched- in creases on back. Flaps and pockets to have 1/16” stitched-in crease to give uniform shape and size.
BUTTONS: Buttons will be first quality pearlized polyester in a matching or coordination color, to withstand excess wear and laundering. Size will be a minimum 17 ligne and 4 hole style.
ZIPPER: Nylon separating zipper with nylon coil, matching binder seam, coordinated color for all components. All molded plastic.
THREAD: Spun polyester thread to match shirt fabric.
STITCHING: Sleeving and closing operation-overlock by means of a merrow stitch with a safety stitch so as to properly strengthen the seam. All stitches must be of the proper tension and size to avoid puckering after the shirt has been laundered and to give best durable press performance.
CUTTING: Collars, band, pockets, shoulder straps and flaps to be die cut to insure uniformity.

PRESSING: Component parts must be pressed on hothead machines; finished shirts to be folded and hand pressed, using jet clips.
PACKING: Shirts to be shipped in poly bags and three shirts to a box with sizes marked on outside of box at one end.
EMBLEMS: There is to be and official Division of Recreation and Parks emblem sewn on each sleeve of the shirt 1” below shoulder seam. Emblems to be furnished by vendor. Specifications attached.

Inside collar will have a self fabric (mock band) reinforcement single needle edge stitch set the inside.
LANYARD WHISTLE SUPPORTS/EPAULETS: Shirt has shoulder epaulets with non-woven fusible interlining. Epaulets are pressed, edge stitched and set into sleeve seams and partly stitched to the garment by means of crisscross diagonal box stitching 1½” onto the shirt. Finished epaulets measure 2” wide at armhole seam and taper to 1½” wide at the point.

Lanyard supports are sewn into the collar seam and to shoulder seam of shirt. Support is 1” wide self- fabric.

Flap is double needle stitched to the shirt. Both left and right pockets and flaps will have an 1½” wide pencil slot running top to bottom. Flap will have one (1) Ligne 19 button, centered and set ½” from scallop edge (button has no closure). Both left and right pocket flaps will have a (cut) buttonhole eyelet sewn beneath the mock button closure, to permit feeding of the lanyard cord and whistle. Finished pocket flaps will measure 2¾” on each end and 2⅞” at the center point. Stitched creasing runs along center of flap and aligns with pintuck stitch on box pleat (pocket).
VELCRO: Flaps and pockets effect closure by means of four (4) strips of Velcro. Strips are 1” long by ½” wide. The hook side of the Velcro is single needle set on the pocket, and the loop side of the Velcro is single needle set on the under side of the flap. Velcro on the pocket is set ⅜” below the finished edge of the pocket, and ¼” in from the finished side of the pocket.
PLACKET/FACINGS: Both facings will be folded and merrowed. The left front will be folded to create a 1½” wide placket with 250-edgelock interlining. Placket is top stitched on both sides. Facings on both sides are merrowed on the outside edges.

Velcro: Flaps and pockets effect closure by means of four (4) strips of matching Velcro. Two strips of Velcro (hooks) are located at top of pocket corners, which effect closure with corresponding Velcro (loops) on inside of pocket flaps. Velcro strips measure 1" x ⅜”. Length direction is set vertically on pockets. Velcro is placed so that the top is on the edge of hemmed pocket, and outer edge is ¼" from edge of pocket. Hook side of Velcro is on pocket; loop side of Velcro is on the pocket flap. Underside of flaps have a 1"x ⅜” piece of Velcro (loop). Velcro on flap underside is placed ¼" from scalloped edge and ⅜” from sides.

Sleeve Placket: Hathaway type placket. Top side of placket is 2 ¼” wide and single needle bound set to the shirt. Underside of placket is ½” wide and single needle bound set. Vent opening is 4 ½”. One buttonhole on topside of placket effects closure with one Ligne 19 button on placket underside. Button is located 2 ¼” above cuff seam.
Banjo Pad: Each sleeve has a “banjo style” elbow patch. Elbow patch has rounded edges, and is flat at the bottom. Elbow patch is superimposed on sleeve so that the bottom side (flat side) joins the sleeve placket. Finished elbow patch measure 7” long. Elbow patch is edge stitch set.
Underarm Eyelets: Sleeve underarm will have four, (4) round 101 (vented) eyelets under the arm. Eyelets will be placed as follows: one on each side of the sleeve (front/back) 1” above the armhole seam and one on each side of the body (front/back) 1” below the armhole seam. All four (4) eyelets will be placed diagonally 1” from the seam intersection (:+:) . Lanyard Whistle Supports/Epaulets: Shirt has spruce shoulder epaulets with non woven fusible interlining. Epaulets are pressed, edge stitched and set into sleeve seams and partly stitched to the garment by means of crisscross diagonal stitching onto the shirt 1 ½”. Finished epaulets measure 2” wide at the armhole seam and taper 1/ ½” wide at the point, ½” from edge of collar. Ends are formed to a point and have a buttonhole that effects closure with a Ligne 19 button set on the shoulder. Button is stitched to the shoulder edge of a cut buttonhole eyelet, which allows passage of Lanyard/whistle cord, to the whistle supports (one on each side). Self-fabric lanyard supports are sewn into the collar seam and to shoulder of shirt. Support measures 1” wide by 2 ¼” long.
Creasing: Shirt will have stitched creasing sewn down both sides of the shirt. Stitched creasing extends from shoulder seam though pocket flaps, and pockets, to bottom of the shirt.
Closure: Front closure is by means of seven, (7) Ligne 19 buttons, and one (1) 16” separating zipper. First button is set on the collar band with a horizontal buttonhole. All remaining buttonholes are vertical. The second button on the shirt is spaced 3” below the collar band seam. All remaining buttons are spaced 3 1½”apart. Note: Only the first, second, and seventh (last) buttons, are working buttons. The third, fourth, fifth, an sixth buttons are mock buttons. The shirt will have a concealed 16” separating zipper set beneath the front placket. Zipper is single needle lockstitch set, 4” below the collar seam.
Back: Shirt has 2-ply back yoke. Shirt has three (3) rows of stitched creasing down back, extending from the yoke to bottom of shirt. First crease stitch is at center back of shirt and one on each side of center crease, evenly spaced.

CONSTRUCTION / DETAILS: Collar: Convertible collar is cut two pieces, and will have fusible interlining, and collar stays. Collar stays are single needle lockstitch set to the under side of the collar. Collar is single needle set and closed to yield a clean finish. Collar is top stitched.
Placket/Facings: Both facings will be folded and merrowed. The right front will be folded to create a 1½" wide placket with 250-edgelock interlining. Placket is top stitched on both sides. Facings on both sides are merrowed on the outside edges.
Pockets: Shirt will have two (2) breast pockets with flaps, and Velcro closures. Pocket has a center box pleat. Pin tuck stitching runs down center of box pleat. Pleat is 1" wide. Pocket has mitered corners. Top of pocket is single needle lock stitch hemmed and finishes ¾" wide with fold under. On the inside of each pocket will be a single needle dividing stitch 1½" wide to form pencil slot.
Flaps: Pocket flaps are scalloped and will have fusible interlining on under side of flap, with clean-finished edges. Flap is double needle stitched to the shirt. Both left and right pockets and flaps will have a 1½" wide pencil slot running top to bottom. Flap will have one (1) Ligne 19 button, centered and set ½" from scallop edge (button has no closure). Both left and right pocket flaps will have a (cut) buttonhole eyelet sewn beneath the mock button closure, to permit feeding of the lanyard cord. Stitched creasing runs along center of flap and aligns with stitched crease on box pleat (pocket). Finished pocket flaps will measure 2- ¼” on each end and at the center point.
Velcro: Flaps and pockets effect closure by means of four (4) strips of matching Velcro. Two strips of Velcro (hooks) are located at top of pocket corners, which effect closure with corresponding Velcro (loops) on inside of pocket flaps. Velcro strips measure 1" x ⅜”. Length direction is set vertically on pockets. Velcro is placed so that the top is on the edge of hemmed pocket, and outer edge is ¼" from edge of pocket. Hook side of Velcro is on pocket; loop side of Velcro is on the pocket flap. Underside of flaps have a 1"x ⅜” piece of Velcro (loop). Velcro on flap underside is placed ¼" from scalloped edge and ⅜” from sides.
Badge Sling: Shirt has a 1½" wide self-fabric badge support attached to shoulder seam and sewn into back of pocket. Badge sling is folded and merrowed on one side (Badge sling is on left side only).
Eyelets: Shirt has badge eyelets set above left side pocket flap. Eyelets are set horizontally. Eyelets are centered on stitched crease and are sewn through shirt and badge sling. Eyelets are located 1¼" above edge of pocket flap and set 1 ¼" apart.

5.1.17: TEE SHIRT, VOLUNTEER
Hanes cotton “Beefy-Tee” tee shirt, or Department approved equivalent. Ash in color, crew neck with pocket on left front with Volunteer plus Florida Park Service Logo silk screened in black on pocket.
5.2.1: JACKET, DRESS/WORK
COLOR: Spruce Green
SHELL FABRIC: The Shell fabric shall be Tactel - 100% two ply Nylon with a water repellent finish.
PERMANENT SHELL LINING: Cloth type: 100% Nylon Tafetta, 70 Denier wrap and fill, color black, coating – WeatherTech Waterproof/Breathable.
All lining joining seams shall be safety stitched and then sealed with 1” heat sealed tape to prevent leakage. The tape shall be applied by hot air method. The tape shall not be affected by weather, temperature or storage. All stitching through the lining shall be sealed with waterproof tape. The lining shall extend through the top collar of the shell garment to form a waterproof barrier. There shall be 2 female snaps at the seam joining point and opposite, approximately 2 ¼” from the sleeve bottom, to attach to the removable liner. There shall be an inside storage pocket of shell material on the left side of the lining measuring approximately 8 ½” deep by 7” wide. The pocket shall be taped at all points where the pocket is attached to prevent leakage.
ZIP OUT LINER: The lining fabric shall be made of Thinsulate by 3M, 100% nylon taffeta from Dupont, 104 x 86 thread count per square inch quilted 200 gram/body with 100/gram sleeves. Backing shall be 100% nylon taffeta from Dupont, 104 x 86 thread count per square inch.
The liner shall have long sleeves and knit wristlets with tab and loop to accept anchor buttons or anchor strap. The entire body shall be bound with 1 9/16" nylon bias binding. The side seams, shoulder seams and sleeve seams shall be joined with a serge-sew safety stitch machine. The armhole will have a knit insert to allow freedom of movement. The pocket shall be 1 lower right inside patch pocket. The pocket shall be bound with 1 9/16" nylon bias binding and shall be attached with a single needle machine.
There shall be an interlining molded nylon zipper, center marked, and interchangeable attached to the liner. The zipper shall be of sufficient length to be satisfactorily attached to the facing of the jacket.

DESIGN: The jacket shall be a full cut, waist length model with a double outside fly of self goods covering a 2 way zipper front, Thinsulate zip-in, zip-out liner, shirred waistband, and zippered side vents. Coat construction shall be used throughout with body and sleeves being fully lined.
BODY DETAIL: The pocket shall be plain with patch pockets, flaps and badge tab. The inside facings shall be made of outer shell fabric and are to be sewn on top of the nylon lining that extends to the front edge of the jacket. There shall be a bi-swing back designed with the articulated gusset for full freedom of movement.
There is to be a separate 2" shirred waistband with heavy duty elastic. The entire waistband is to be shirred with the exception of an area 5 1/2" on either side of the front opening. There shall be side zipper entry on either side, approximately 11" in length and secured by a nylon zipper and snap closure. The shoulders shall have pads. A self goods reinforcement strip, approximately 3", shall be sewn on the side of the jacket joined at the top of the waistband and extending from side to side. There shall be a 1 1/2" wide fly from the bottom of the collar to the bottom of the waistband. There shall be a double fly of self goods covering the front zipper.
INSIDE DETAIL: On the left side of the coat, there shall be a gun pocket installed on the permanent lining of the coat to accept a small frame handgun. The gun pocket shall have a minimum opening of 4 1/2" and be a minimum of 6" deep. The gun pocket shall be furnished with a strap and snap closing. Bar tacks shall reinforce the opening. There shall be 2 cut-in pocket on the left and right sides measuring approximately 5 1/4" wide and 6" deep. There shall be a strap and snap on the lining of each sleeve end for attaching the zip-in liner.
SLEEVES: The sleeves shall be one piece set in with a single needle machine. The bottom of the sleeve shall have a heavy duty elastic closure with a triple snap adjustment.
POCKETS: There shall be two patch pockets with box pleats, finishing approximately 6 1/4" wide and 7 1/2" deep. Flaps shall be scalloped and self lined. They shall close with velcro on the side points and with a centered buttonhole. The pockets shall be self- lined with an opening of approximately 5 1/2" on the side. The left patch pocket is to have a pencil opening at the top of the flap. Both the pockets and the flaps are to be bartacked.
COLLAR: The stand-up collar shall be made using self material. It shall be interlined with Pellon.
BACK: The back band is constructed with heavy-duty elastic inserted between the folded fabric at the sides. The elastic is stretched and stitched with four threads. A 3 ¾” x 1.5” tab of two plies of shell material with #24 female snap (enameled cap) is provided to close the zipper vent when worn open. A brass oxidized male snap is provided on the elasticized back to fold the tab back when not in use.

EPAULETS: The epaulets shall be made of self goods. They shall be sewn into the sleeve head seam, "X" stitched, and tacked to the jacket at the neck.
BADGE TAB: The badge tab shall be made of the outer fabric, 1" wide with 2 metal eyelets spaced 3/4" vertically apart. It shall be centered 2 1/2" above the left pocket flap.
ZIPPER: There shall be a YKK #5, 2 way molded nylon zipper in the front and 11" nylon zipper on each side vent.
BUTTONS AND SNAPS: The pocket flaps and epaulets shall be secured with 24 ligne metal buttons. Flaps and epaulets shall close with 24 ligne metal buttons. Front fly and side zipper tabs shall be secured by high impact, non-reflective, non-glare, scratch resistant snaps.
THREAD: All sewing is to be done with polyester core thread or 100% spun polyester thread.
SIZE TAG AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Each jacket shall have a sewn-in woven size label. There shall also be a printed label with care instructions and each coat marked with Lot number, size, fiber content and WPL number.
SIZING: Jackets are to be sized in Regulars XS, S, M, L, XXL, and XXXL. In Longs M, L, XL and XXL.
EMBLEMS: There shall be a DEP Parks Emblem attached on each sleeve included in the cost of each jacket.

STYLE: Regular style necktie, four-in-hand, pocket tip ends, long piecing, width at widest point to be approximately 3½”. Big end lining 24” long cut on bias, small end lining 24” long, cut on straight to eliminate excess stretching of neck band.

5.3.6: TIE, WOMEN’S CROSSOVER
STYLE: Crossover style with adjustable band and matching covered button snap.

5.3.7: BASEBALL STYLE CAP, WITH EMBROIDERED LOGO, SUMMER & WINTER
FABRIC: 100% Polyester 2 ply 11/25 oz. per linear yard. Gabardine weave. Gabardine weave and fabric is mandatory to maintain consistency with uniform. Visa finish. Spruce Green and Black.
MESH: (Summer Cap Only) Nylon, Endurlon or equal. Contour fit to conform to front fabric. Color to be Spruce Green and Black.
DESIGN: Baseball style five gore construction. Low crown seamless front, double supported with a sewn in Cotton Osnaburg and a polyester or nylon rigid half stay. The visor is to be of three piece construction with a minimum six rows of stitching. All gore seams to be taped to match fabric or black, the color of the mesh. The crown shall be of a matching color, or black, and an adjustable seven post plastic tab on the back to allow for full size range adjustment. One size fits all.
VISORBOARD: High density polypropeline extending approximately 3” from the sweatband (+/- ¼”). Thickness shall be .007 mm minimum.
SWEATBAND: Finished to 1¼” (+/- 1/16”). Construction of cotton or poly/cotton fabric lined inside with foam and nonwoven for rigidity and absorption.
SEAMING AND STITCHING: A proper seam allowance shall be maintained to prevent raw edges, run offs, twists, pleats, or open seams. All seams shall have 9-10 stitches per inch. Cutout at back shall be taped with color to match, or black.

LABEL: A permanent label shall be attached to the sweatband and state, ONE SIZED FITS ALL.
AGENCY LOGO: Florida Park Service Logo is to be embroidered on front of the Spruce Green Cap. Volunteer-Florida Park Service is to be embroidered in white on front of Black Cap.
5.3.8: EMBLEM, OFFICIAL
To be sewn on each sleeve of jackets and shirts one inch down from the shoulder seam. All threads are to be fast color, washable and all stitching on outer borders are to be lock-stitched to prevent raveling. The outer edges to be sewn with washable, colorfast, stitching, and on all outer borders are to be lock-stitched to prevent raveling. The outer edges to be sewn with six thread merrow stitches to eliminate raw edges. The emblem is to be approximately 4¾" wide by 3¾" high on fast color, washable white twill, one piece construction. Emblem to be a one quarter circle design with spruce green inter and outer borders. Lettering (bold): Top of circle: FLORIDA PARK SERVICE; left side: Environmental; right side: Protection. Letters ¼" in height to be centered in the space between the inner and outer borders and to be stitched with spruce green thread. The center space inside the inner border to be divided into a light blue top representing the sky and a dark blue representing water. Centered in the space is to be an outline of the State of Florida in sharp raised relief using rust color thread. The state outline to show Lake Okeechobee, Tampa Bay and the Florida Keys. The outline is to be overlaid on a stylized sun with sun in raised relief using gold color thread. Two sable palm trees with curved trunks of rust color thread and spruce green tops rise from the lower left inner border. In addition to the above patch for all uniformed positions, there will be a top tab approximately ⅝" wide attached (sewn not acceptable) in one piece with spruce green borders. Top tab lettering to be approximately ¼" in height of spruce green thread and the lettering. (See attached drawing for specific details.)
5.3.9: HAT, CAMPAIGN SYTLE
STYLE: Traditional four dent style. Color to be Tan. NO BADGE EYELET. Imported Milan Straw. Entire hat to be triple shellacked for extra waterproofing.
CROWN: Crown is to be 5” high. Each dent is to extend from 2” above bottom of crown to top of crown forming a flat portion at the top that is approximately 2” wide.
BRIM: 3” double brim, flat, no curl.
BAND: 12 Ligne Mylined Grograin, raw edge ⅞” wide, with side bow. Color to coordinate with hat color.
GROMMETS: Two (2) side black metal grommets 11/16” long opening in brim, one on each side, for hat strap.
STRAP: Black one piece leather ⅜” wide with non-tarnishable buckle.
SWEATBAND: Black nylon permanently laminated to polyurethane foam.
