Job Title: Grounds Supervisor / Maintenance Manager

To maintain the hospital and associated grounds to a Main Purpose of Job professional standard, by means of litter and weed control, graffiti removal, and snow and ice removal.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

1 Conduct litter picking and road sweeping duties. 2 Undertake weed control as required by various means. 3 Carry out snow clearing duties and participate in shift/on-call arrangements if required by management. 4 Effective graffiti removal and application of graffiti resistant products. 5 Lawn care by means of hand tools and mechanically propelled gardening equipment. 6 Road and rainwater gulley maintenance and clearance of leafs and debris. 7 Seasonal clearance of fallen leaves. 8 Ground clearance and recovery. 9 Move materials, stock and furniture as necessitated by department requirements. 10 Use relevant tools and equipment, drive company vehicles and machinery in a safe manner. 11 Assist trade staff in maintenance, repair and installation / new works. 12 Undertake specific tasks and duties as prescribed from time to time by the Maintenance Manager. 13 To comply with Company Policies and Procedures. 14 To fulfil Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Company's Health & Safety Policy Statement, Manual and Safe Systems of Work. 15 To support and practice the Company's Quality Policy and Mission Statement 16 To follow the Company's Equalities Policies in relation to other staff, customers and members of the Group, at a level appropriate to the post. 17 To undertake such other duties appropriate to the level and character of work as may reasonably be required within the Department. Significant permanent changes in duties will require agreed revisions to be made to this Job Description.
