Master's Thesis Award 2010-2011

Each year the Northeastern Association of Graduate Schools recognizes an outstanding master's thesis that has been produced by a student at one of its member institutions. Nominees must have received the master's degree within three years preceding the year of competition. Therefore, people who completed all requirements for the degree after January 1, 2008 are eligible.

The 2010-2011 Award will recognize a thesis in Social Sciences & Education.

The $1,000 award will be presented at the annual meeting’s award luncheon on Friday, April 15, 2011 at the Omni Parker House in Boston, MA. The recipient will be invited to attend the annual meeting as a guest of the Association and must be present to receive the award.

Every member institution is invited to submit a nomination. There can be only one nominee from each institution. Nomination materials, which should be transmitted by the Graduate Dean, include the thesis manuscript, a 300 word abstract in lay language, and three letters of evaluation. Nomination materials in Adobe pdf file format must be submitted by email to the Chair of the Master’s Thesis Award Committee, Dr. Elizabeth Kenney, at the email address: [email protected]. The deadline is February 1, 2011. Receipt of nomination materials will be confirmed by the committee chair.
