Bernhard Grubelnig, Technology Solutions Director, EMC

Bernhard was born and raised in Austria, with more than 15 years in the IT Industry. He has worked for various IT companies like Compaq and HP and as Consultant for the Financial Services Industry. Bernhard has been with EMC since 2005, and has been building up the EMC Consulting team for Eastern Europe, Middle East and South Africa before taking responsibility as Consulting Director for EMEA North. As of 2009 he has been responsible for all service business in Eastern Europe and Austria as Technology Solutions Director.

David S. Linthicum, CTO, Bick Group

Dave is CTO of the Bick Group focusing on emerging technology spaces including cloud computing. In addition, Dave is an internationally recognized industry expert and thought leader, and the author and coauthor of 13 books on computing, including the best selling Enterprise Application Integration, and his latest book Cloud Computing and SOA Convergence. Dave keynotes at many leading technology conferences on cloud computing, SOA, Web 2.0, and enterprise architecture, and has appeared on a number of TV and radio shows as a computing expert. He is a blogger for InfoWorld, Intelligent Enterprise, and eBizq.net, covering SOA and enterprise computing topics. Dave also has columns in

Dave’s industry experience includes tenure as CTO and CEO of several successful software companies, and upper-level management positions in Fortune 100 companies.

John Savageau, President, Pacific-Tier Communications, LLC

John Savageau is President at Pacific-Tier Communications LLC, a Honolulu-based technology consulting company focused on delivering cutting edge technology and business solutions to developing countries, governments, and business. John has spent most of his 35 professional years working in tech-related activities, including software development, mainframe computer operations, missile launch operations, data center design, support for remote locations serving the mining industry, and global Internet network engineering.

John Savageau has filled senior leadership roles, including CTO at CoreSite, CTO of Pihana Pacific, VP of International Operations at Level (3) Communications International, General Manager of Sprint China, and Director of Asia-Pacific Operations at Sprint International.

A former career US Air Force officer, John Savageau has lived for extended periods in Japan, China, Australia, the UK, and Mongolia. He holds a Master of Science in Operations Management from the University of Arkansas, and a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies and Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland.

Mike Cleverley, Director, Strategy, IBM Global Government Industry

Mark Cleverley helps governments with technology-enabled transformation. He advises IBM’s public sector customers and IBM teams on potentials, challenges and best practices in the evolving use of new technologies and how they might affect strategy and policy choices. Mr Cleverley has consulted widely on government projects, and has written and spoken publicly extensively in the USA and abroad. In is current role he works with governments in many nations and many areas of information systems. He focuses on new technology areas and their impact for the public sector: most recently social media, cloud computing, and IBM’s smarter city programs.

Previously he was responsible for IBM’s Public Safety, Justice, and related clients in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Earlier he led technology-enabled innovation projects in the oil, aviation and financial

Page 2 of 3 services industries, in Western Europe, the USA and Russia. These ranged from consolidating European data centers, through implementing core airline systems, and included one of the earliest (pre-web) public access kiosk developments.

Parviz Peiravi, Principal Architect – Enterprise Computing, Enterprise Solution Sales Group Solutions Architecture and Design, Intel Corporation

Parviz Peiravi is a Principal Architect with Intel Corporation responsible for Enterprise Infrastructure solutions and design. He is primarily responsible for designing and driving development of Service Oriented Architecture, Virtualized Infrastructure and computing architectures in support of Intel’s focus areas within Enterprise Computing. Parviz has designed large scale Clusters using Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and IBM DB2, Data Grid and Utility computing infrastructure using Grid and virtualization technologies. He has numerous certifications in Enterprise Architecture Framework, SOA, ITIL, XML\Web Services, VMware, MS Hyper-V, Xen and Database design. His current focus is researching the application of Grid, Virtualization, and SOA within Cloud Computing Infrastructure Framework. He is member of Cloud Computing Group, Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), DMTF, OGF, and IEEE. Parviz has been with Intel over 14 years and he holds a degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering and a recipient of Intel Achievement Award (IAA).
