REPORT ON ONE DAY TRAINING PROGRAMME CONDUCTED ON AUGUST 17th 2013 BY IIISLA (UP CHAPTER) AT LUCKNOW

It’s my pleasure to be a delegate and an eye-witness of this memorable day August 17th 2013. A cherished dream of Lucknow surveyors came true with the full support of surveyors from Kanpur when the first educational training programme as per provision in regulation organized on 17/08/2013 under IIISLA (UP Chapter) in the Hotel Diamond Palace, Faizabad Road, Lucknow in which surveyors from all over UP & nearby states, participated in the training programme. It was the auspicious occasion to see the delegates in dress code & maintained pin drop silent during the complete training programme.

First session was inaugural ceremony, lecture on concepts of motor insurance - Understanding Policy Terms & Condition, Endorsements and their application’ & methodology of claim settlement in shopkeepers policy & reporting in engineering pre inspection which started at 10.11 AM. Inaugural programme started with Sarsawati Vandna, lighting the candles & paying homage to our late colleague senior surveyor CK Mishra & RK Kodesia who passed way few months back. Mr Rakesh Bihari Srivastava was master of ceremony. lIIISLA Council member Mr. Lalit Gupta, Zonal Chairman Mr. JC Joshi, UP Chapter Chairman Mr. RS Tiwari delivered their speech & they were astonished to see about 240 delegate who were present for training. Our chair person informed that it was the first time in India where 240 delegates assembled for one day training programme. The inaugural programme was cut short & it was only for twenty two minutes in which chair person focused to utilize maximum time for the training period. Mr. Sunil Dhawan from Delhi who was observer (Deputed by HO IIISLA) for the training programme asked the Programme convener Mr. Vipin Shukla to start the training.

The lecture “On concepts of motor insurance” was delivered by the eminent faculty and senior motor surveyor Mr. Anil Jauhri of Kanpur where as on shopkeeper’s policy the lecture was delivered by the eminent faculty and senior surveyor Mr. PC Shukla of Kanpur. Before starting lecture on concepts of motor insurance, delegates had an opportunity to answer twelve quiz questions pertaining to the concept of motor insurance which was prepared by me (AK Sinha) & five winners of the quiz were awarded with prize which was presented by the observer Mr. Sunil Dhawan. Mr. Anil Jauhri presentation on the subject was very lucid and kept everybody engrossed for two hours. After the lecture Mr. Jauhri took the technical queries of the participants in question & answers session.

The second session was “Truck body & cabin” in which the lecture was delivered by renowned body fabricators Mr. Puspendra Singh of Kanpur. Since Mr. Singh was a renowned body fabricator, number of surveyors raised their question & got clarified their doubts & problem facing while assessing the loss. The discussion was very successful & beneficial to the participants. During tea break i was egger to know about the training & discussion held for miscellaneous subject, i met one of my colleagues who informed about the lecture delivered by Mr. PC Shukla & Mr. Yogendra Bhatt was really appreciable & unable to express his feeling as the lecture was delivered with immense power & skill. He has witnessed one of the best training programme has ever attended.

After the training session on request of delegate visionary personality Mr. Lalit Gupta (Council Member) & Mr. Nirmal Tripathi (Secretary UP Chapter) clarified the issues related to IIISLA.

To make the whole programme a success the team of Lucknow & Kanpur contributed with their full capacity. Lot of appreciation goes to Mr. Vipin Shukla (Programme Convener) for his contribution & support. The vote of thanks was given by Mr. Vipin Shukla.
