2010 – 2012 AAD Skin Cancer Screening Program, volunteer & 2007

2010 – present St. Vincent’s Clinic, volunteer Medial staff at this student-run free health clinic for the uninsured people of Galveston.

2010 Galveston Rebirth 10K Race, runner Placed first in age bracket.

2010 Galveston Seawall Half Marathon, runner

2004 – 2008 Dermatology Interest Group, Co-President (2006-2008) Helped develop a skin cancer education and prevention program taught to local students and lifeguards, provided skin cancer awareness at local health events, and participated in organizing and fundraising for a local Miles for Melanoma walk.

2005 – 2008 UTMB Student Ambassador As a medical student, met with undergraduate students and medical school applicants to provide information about UTMB and share my experiences as a medical student.

2007 Camp Discovery, Camp Dermadillo Camp Counselor at this AAD camp for young people with chronic skin conditions.

2007 Galveston County Youth Soccer, Coach Organized and held weekly practices and games for a local girls’ Under-9 team.

2006 Aramco Half Marathon, Houston Texas, runner

Personal:

Hobbies include outdoor activities, running, skiing, traveling, visiting family and friends, reading novels, and attending concerts.
