A Message from the President

As we complete our second year as a lake association, we are proud to let you know that Friends of the Jersey Flowage has been awarded a second grant to develop a lake management plan. The purpose of the grant is consistent with our goal as a volunteer organization – to protect the Jersey as our shared natural resource.

We bring this news to you a bit later than originally anticipated. At our annual meeting in June, we received a request from the membership for a fall meeting. Our goal was to align the meeting with release of the grant award and preliminary survey data captured in June 2011 by Onterra. With the “buzz” in Madison over state budgetary items, we faced a three month delay. While expecting the Thanks to FOJF Member Dale Knapp for this grant award in late August, it was not until mid- beautiful shot of one of our neighbors. Please share November that we learned of the grant award, and your pictures with us on Facebook or by email at early December when the preliminary survey results [email protected] were released landing our meeting in the midst of the holidays – typically, not a good time for a business meeting. 2012 Membership Dues
