Include instructions for storage, handling, protection, examination, preparation, and installation of Product. 1.04 QUALITY ASSURANCE .A Perform work in accordance with NECA Standard of Installation. .B Maintain [one copy] [ copies] of document on site. 1.05 QUALIFICATIONS .A MANUFACTURER .1 Supplier asking consideration as an approved equal shall submit full guaranteed performance data on similar units in service for two or more years. .2 Performance data to be submitted on each size required and received by the engineer no less than ten days prior to bid due date in order to allow acceptance by addendum. .3 All bids are to be based on specified equipment and show credit to be allowed to the owner if an approved substitute is used. 1.06 REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS .A Conform to requirements of ANSI/NFPA 70. .B Furnish products listed and classified by [Underwriters Laboratories, Inc.] [testing firm acceptable to authority having jurisdiction] as suitable for purpose specified as shown.

PART 2 PRODUCTS 2.01 MANUFACTURERS - DIGITAL CLOCK/TIMERS .A MANUFACTURERS: Approved manufacturer for the various components shall be as listed herein. .1 Dual display clock timer shall be Square D Company Type MCT-12B. .2 The remote control unit for the MCT-12B shall be Square D Company Type MCT-CT. .3 The rechargeable battery pack for the MCT-12B shall be the Square D Company MCT-BP. .B DESCRIPTION .1 The dual display clock and elapsed time indicator shall be as manufactured by Square D Company. The unit shall have two sets of digital displays; the top display will be a time-of- day clock, and the lower display will be an elapsed time indicator. .2 The light displays shall be vacuum fluorescent, 15 mm tall, and plainly visible at 30 ft. One 1/4 ampere line fuse shall be accessible from the front trim. The controls to operate the elapsed timer and to set the clock time shall be on the face of the unit. These controls shall operate in parallel with an optional remote control panel. Remote controls shall be furnished as shown on drawings. .3 The elapsed timer shall be capable of holding and then resuming a count at the discretion of the operator. The solid state design shall allow the elapsed timer to instantly reset. The clock/timer shall have an extra set of connections which, when shorted, will actuate the elapsed time indicator. .4 The clock shall be field adjustable to display either 12-hour or 24-hour time.

2.02 ACCESSORIES .A MCT-CT .1 The remote control shall be the MCT-CT control panel as manufactured by Square D Company. The unit shall operate in conjunction with the MCT-12B. .2 The control panel shall consist of “count/reset” and “hold” push-buttons. In addition, two push-buttons shall allow for proper setting of the clock time. All controls shall be mounted on a flush mounting type 304 stainless steel trim. .3 A 15 foot wiring harness shall be furnished with the unit. The unit contains nickel-cadmium batteries to maintain the timing function during power failure. .B MCT-BP (Not required if MCT-CT in use.) .1 The rechargeable battery pack for the digital clocks shall be the MCT-BP battery pack manufactured by Square D Company. This unit shall provide the “memory mode” for the digital clocks which will prevent time information from being lost during a power interruption. The batteries shall be rechargeable.

PART 3 EXECUTION 3.01 INSTALLATION .A The contractor shall furnish and install digital clock/timer as indicated on the drawings. Location of clocks is indicated on the drawings and cannot be changed without written permission from the consulting electrical engineer and architect. END OF SECTION
