RACE 1 – ALLEN WILLIAMS MEMORIAL HEAT SEVEN – 2200 METRES

Pre-race swab samples were taken from BALDOCK.

MEI GEI hung in and contacted several marker pegs leaving the front straight after receiving the bell.

FIRE UP FRANCO pulled hard during the middle stages of the event.

RACE 2 – POSITIVE REAL ESTATE PACE – 2200 METRES

Pre-race swab samples were taken from JAZZY JANE.

The start of this event was delayed approximately two minutes due to Warrnambool Greyhounds, race 2 running behind schedule.

RED SUN BLISS (Kristy Grant) was out of position at the start, as a result JOHNNYART (Rohan Hillier) was inconvenienced and a false start was declared. Connections were advised that RED SUN BLISS has been placed outside the draw for future mobile start events.

SPRINGFIELD TATTOO hung in and contacted several marker pegs leaving the back straight on the first occasion.

Driver Kristy Grant (RED SUN BLISS) reported that she had sustained a flat tyre approximately 100 metres after the start.

IMUNSTOPPABLE tired over the concluding stages, as a result RED SUN BLISS was momentarily inconvenienced.

Pre-race swab samples were taken from MILEY ROSE.

TRIED AND TRUE raced roughly approaching the home turn.

ME MATE LES was held up for clear racing room during the early stages of the home straight.

RACE 4 – PAST PLAYERS AND SUPPORTERS OF THE RIVERSIDE CRICKET CLUB PACE – 2200 METRES

Pre-race swab samples were taken from ARTY MISS.

Drivers Natalee Emery (SARAH LEWIS), Adrian Collins (PEACE CORP NZ) and John Walters (KARALTA DAZZLER) were reminded of their obligations to ensure they are fully in position at the start.

Driver Clinton Woods (SALOON IN SIGHT) was reprimanded under AR 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain his barrier position.

Driver Kristy Grant (HES MAGIC RED) was reprimanded under AR 162(1)(j) for failing to maintain her barrier position.

RACE 5 – SAUNDERS DENTURE CLINIC THREE YEAR OLD FILLIES CHAMPIONSHIP – 2200 METRES

Pre-race swab samples were taken from MAVIS MERLE and IDEN MAKIN TIME.

The start of this event was delayed approximately one minute due to Bunbury Thoroughbreds, race 8 running behind schedule.

STINGOGASCORPION (Kate MacLeod) was out of position at the start, as a result SAFETY GIRL (Gareth Rattray) was inconvenienced and a false start was declared. An inquiry will be conducted into the reasons for STINGOFASCORPION being out of position.

Driver Rohan Hadley (DAYS LIKE THIS) was reminded of his obligations to ensure he is fully in position at the start.

STINGOFASCORPION pulled hard during the middle stages of the event.

DAYS LIKE THIS broke free of interference leaving the back straight on the final occasion. Connections were advised that this filly has been placed on its last chance to race truly.

STINGOFASCORPION was held up for clear racing room during the early stages of the home straight.

Driver David Hall (JOKERS WILD CARD) pleaded guilty to a charge under AR 156(2) in that he used his whip with a freehand on 5 occasions prior to the 200 metres. Mr Hall was subsequently fined the sum of $200.

Driver Natalee Emery (IMA GINGER ROGERS) pleaded guilty to a charge under AR 162(1) (y) in that she failed to adhere to the sectional time requirements for this event. Miss Emery was subsequently fined the sum of $100.

Post-race swab samples were taken from IMA GINGER ROGERS the winner of the event

RUN RIPALONG NZ was declared a late scratching at 9.30am when trainer Zeke Slater advised that this gelding had slight swelling in its near foreleg. RUN RIPALONG NZ has been stood down from racing for a period of 28 day.

Pre-race swab samples were taken from TRULY BLISSFULL and ARDLUSSA EXPRESS NZ.

DODGERMEMATE was held up for clear racing room in the home straight.

Post-race swab samples were taken from TRULY BLISSFULL and MOTU CRUSADER NZ, the winner of the event and second place getter respectively.

RACE 7 – RIVERSIDE CRICKET CLUB FOUR YEAR OLD CLASSIC – 2200 METRES

Pre-race swab samples were taken from SOMETHING EYRE NZ.

PRISONER broke during the early stages of the score up, was out of position at the start and trailed the field throughout. Connections were advised that this horse will continue to be excluded from the mobile barrier draw and has also been stood down from racing for a period of 10 days and until the completion of one satisfactory trial.

METRO DIGBY was out of position at the start will continue to be excluded from the mobile barrier draw.

Driver Paul Williams (METRO DIGBY) pleaded guilty to a charge under AR 156(3)(b) in that he used his whip with more than a wrist and elbow action over the concluding stages. Mr Williams was subsequently fined the sum of $400.

SOMETHING EYRE NZ (Ricky Duggan) was inclined to hang out throughout and shifted ground outwards in the home straight despite the efforts of its driver. As a result VANDE VELDE (Christian Salter), which was held up for clear racing room was able to obtain an inside run over the concluding stages. SOMETHING EYRE NZ underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a slow recovery rate. Connections were advised that a warning has been placed on the racing manners of SOMETHING EYRE NZ.

METRO DIGBY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and it was reported that this gelding
