Thank you for attending tonight’s PARENT NIGHT in support of the Hamilton High School Women’s Soccer Program. The HHS women’s soccer program is an expansive program that includes four teams totaling more than 90 young women.

As you can imagine, it takes a great deal of effort to manage a program as large as ours. Earlier this year, the HHS women’s soccer program assembled the Board of volunteer parents that are dedicated to ensuring your daughter has a positive experience playing for Hamilton High School. The Board is committed to ensuring that each program: Varsity, JV A, JV B, or freshmen have the resources and activities that lay the foundation for a successful season.

Your daughter should have provided you a Parent Letter last week providing detailed information in support of the program. We will review many of those points during tonight’s meeting. The Board is dedicated to keeping all parents well informed – starting with the Parent Letter you received last week. We have also entered into the technology age with both our HHS women’s soccer website and our Facebook® page as well. While we strive to provide information, we understand that parents might still have questions. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to either the Coaching staff or to a Board member, and our contact information is noted below for easy reference.

VOLUNTEER NEEDS

The Board needs your help! It takes a large contingent of volunteers to ensure that the program is a success. We are encouraging all parents to volunteer your time!

CONCESSION STAND This year, the soccer program received the OK to open the concession stand during all home games. We will need volunteers from all 4 teams manning the concession stand sales. Food items, beverages, and resources will be purchased by the Booster club. All proceeds would go to the Booster Club financial accounts to continue to off-set soccer expenses.

FUNDRAISING EFFORTS To date, we have had several fund raisers – 1 car wash yielding over $500 and Pei Wei dinner night that earned over $100. We are also working on additional ‘dinner nights’ for each month. Tonight we are launching our next fundraiser – Butter Bread Braids! This is a GREAT fundraiser just in time for the upcoming Holiday Season. A delicious treat that freezes well – and can be easily sold to friends, family, co-workers, teachers (and hint, hint – coaches!)

OFF SEASON / SOCCER GOLF TOURNAMENT A Spring/Summer fundraiser! We need volunteers to help coordinate this off-season fund raiser. Goals for the soccer program are high for the 2013-14 season and those goals take a comprehensive fundraising plan both DURING and AFTER the high school season. The challenge is for parents to remain engaged while off-season, with their daughters deeply entrenched in Club soccer. Coaches and Board Members remain committed to the HHS women’s soccer program throughout the year, including the planning of an event like this. Volunteers to help coordinate and launch the HHS Women’s FIRST ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT would be greatly appreciated!

NOTE: Each Team may add additional “no practice” days OR add additional practice days (Saturday’s) based on the needs of the team. Saturday practices will not be considered until AFTER Thanksgiving
