Graphic Designer Intern Role  Multiple award winning publisher and BRW Fast 100 company  Market-leading titles  Energetic, dynamic culture  Convenient North Sydney location Sterling Publishing is looking for a design student in their second or third year of studies, who would like to gain experience of print publishing and launch their career in the media. With the guidance of a talented group of designers you’ll spend one day a week working on our market-leading products to deliver layouts for Sterling Publishing's monthly business-to-business publications: The Adviser, ifa and SMSF Adviser. Tasks are likely to include: - Working with templates to lay out regular features for each publication - Sourcing, resizing, and ensuring images are ready for print use - Converting monthly issues into flipbooks ready for proofing by the editorial and design teams - The opportunity to work on feature articles as your experience progresses

You will possess:  An eye for detail and the ability to identify and work to house style  Ability to work on a design brief from concept to completion  A willingness to learn  Strong communication skills  At least some knowledge of layout design and fonts  A basic knowledge of magazine print design would be preferable, but not essential As you gain confidence and experience there will be excellent opportunities to take on new challenges that will advance your career prospects.
