1 STEERING GROUP ADMINISTRATION

1.1 Cllr Lynda Cherry was voted in as Chairman.

1.2 William Grande was voted in a Vice Chairman

1.3 Cllr Joanna Kenny and Claire Hurley to share the role of Secretary.

1.4 Draft Terms of Reference for the Steering Group were discussed and adopted with following amendments  Quorum to be 5  Membership flexible and can vary, but looking for a maximum of 15  Decisions by votes, casting vote by chairman.

1.5 The Town Council would work to the Steering Group and liaise with the Town Council Planning Committee responsible for authorising budget. £20,000 had been set aside to develop the plan – detail set out in the Business Case (Available on Basecamp)

1.6 Basecamp – online library maintained by CRCC contains all documents, minutes, key emails associated with the Newquay Neighbourhood Plan – Action: CRCC to supply logon details to each member signed up to the Steering Group .

2 ACTIONS PROGRESS

2.1 Discharged  Digital copy of the Duchy Pattern Book now on Basecamp  Town Plan – now on Basecamp

2.2 Carried Forward

 ALL to consider who or what representation is ‘missing’ from the Steering Group.  AC to approach & invite local architect (Andy…?) to join the Steering Group – carried forward  NP to approach & invite Matthew Thompson (Fifteen) to join the Steering Group - carried forward

3 PROJECT UPDATE

3.1 Themes Questionnaire

Questionnaire to be held open until next consultation due. CRCC provided analysis of responses identifying Key themes (see Basecamp). Review of Town Plan matched against Key Themes distributed.

Action:

 CRCC to continue reviewing emerging theme information against existing evidence

3.2 Schools Market Research Project

Following 16 January meeting, going well – different areas allocated to each school. Looking for Surveys during Feb/March, analysis end of March

Action:  Liaise via LC to have input via attendees at Disable Club  NP to arrange tour round the Tregunnel Hill Estate  Junior Schools – involve in young people referendum, Secondary schools to liaise via their feeder schools

3.3 Youth Update – special area Playgrounds, safety needs to be built into design – involve Police Architectural Officer.

3.5 Any other themes – Renewable Energy schemes

4 Date of next meeting: CH to fix bimonthly. Agreed to fix dates (according to room availability )and then circulated
