Call To Order: Meeting called to order by ASUCC President Kristapher Yates at 12:01 pm.

Roll Call: Megan Morehouse, ASUCC Vice President Cody Stone, Engineering Club Haley Stammen, ASUCC Activities Officer James Gugel, Engineering Club Michael Lewis, ASUCC Business Manager Cora Siebert, Geology Club Rep. Aria Blackwood, ASUCC Senator Josh Friedlein, Geology Club Beau Jones, ASUCC Senator Sierra Smith, GSA Lorenzo Wilcox, ASUCC Senator RJ Harris, Peer Mentor Rep. Marjan Coester, Advisor KC Perley, PTK Club Rep. Mariah Gladden, Athletics Mark Hamel, Wrestling Club Rep. Ralph Lammell, Veterans Club Rep.

Standing Business: Approval of Agenda. Agenda for March 9, 2015 was approved as presented.

Approval of Minutes. Minutes from March 2, 2015 were approved as presented.

Statements from the Audience: None.

Old Business: UCC Goes To France. Nine current UCC students will be going Paris this spring and the group is asking for $2,700 or $300 per traveler. It was noted by NiAodagain that one student has withdrawn, so the request would be for $2,400. Motion made modified to reflect the change in the number of travelers as well as a proposal to fund each student at $550 for a total of $4,950 (Stammen, Harris). Motion passed (13-0-0).

ASUCC Safe Spaces. ASUCC wants to incorporate Safe Spaces around campus and provide training for UCC Staff. Motion made to approve the request for $2,000 (Jones, Stone) Motion passed (10-0-3).

New Business: PTK Nerd Nation. A group of five students and one advisor will be traveling to San Antonio, Texas in April for the PTK International Conference. The group is asking for travel, lodging and food money in the amount of $3,054. Motion made to move the request to Old Business (Stammen, Jones). Motion passed (9-0-4).

Megan Morehouse, Vice President. Elections Committee. Morehouse shared that the first meeting of the committee is Friday. She also shared that Amber Hastings from OCCSA is visiting later this week and will be asking her for suggestions on the handbooks.

Haley Stammen, Activities Officer. Activities Task Force. The Study In is this Saturday from 10am-4pm in the Library. Stammen will be presenting a proposal for additional giveaways in spring.

Michael Lewis, Business Manager. Budget Task Force. Lewis noted that the meeting has been moved to Thursday’s at 2pm; he is still looking for a location. The task force will be asked to consider how to shift ASUCC Student Services to an equity based model.

Walk A Mile In Her Shoes. Lewis shared that he is trying to have forty males walk this year.

Tony Terra, Public Relations. No report.

Senators. No report.

Committee and Task Force Reports and Reminders: Academic Standards. No report.

Accreditation. No report. There is a meeting on Wednesday.

Achieving the Dream. Task forces are working hard.

Budget. No report.

College Council. They are still working on the tobacco policy and the armed security idea.

Instructional Council. Two new courses were approved for next academic year.

Safety. No report.

Umpqua Unites. The group is working on how to share out the information that has been gathered.

Website & Social Media. No report.

Club Reports: Athletic Department. Both men and women are playing in the Championship games; men did ASUCC Student Leadership Team Minutes of March 9, 2015 Page 3 not move forward, women are currently in the final four.

Debate Club. Absent

Drama Club. Absent.

Engineering Club. Would like to be a part of campus visits.

Environmental Sustainability Club. Absent.

Geology Club. Working on field trips and community involvement

GSA Club. Meets 4-5pm on Wednesday’s.

Mainstream. There will be a new paper finals week.

National Student Nursing Association. Absent.

Peer Mentors. They are looking forward to the implementation of a new tracking system.

Phi Theta Kappa. Have asked the PTK regional president to be a speaker at induction.

Pre-Health Club. Absent.

SkillsUSA. Absent.

Wrestling Club. Meets on Friday’s at 3pm.

Veterans’ Club. Members did a cookout and white water rafted. They are reviewing changes to their constitution and are putting together a possible fund raiser.

Advisor’s Report: No report.
