 Prix Caprilli  Endurance Escort  Be Inspired  Charles Owen Hat Recall  Events and Competitions  Ponies for Sale, Loan or Wanted

Prix Caprilli Prix Caprilli is an event unique to Area 12 Pony Club. The competition is on Sunday 2 July at Thame Showground and we want to send lots of our members. It is an inviting dressage test with a couple of small jumps. It is open to all those riding below PC novice level dressage and the test can be called. It is suitable for any pony as it is a rider test. Guy Moore is our coach and we will be running some self funded training sessions prior to the competition. I would encourage you all to look at the following link which has the rules and the test itself. As per all our area competitions we subsidise entry fees by 50% and it is a really great introduction to competing at the areas. Mandy Rawding is our Team Manager and we will also incorporate prix caprilli at wing on 2 June. http://branches.pcuk.org/southoxfordshirecentral/area-dressage-2017/ Endurance Escort We currently have some keen members who are hoping to qualify for the PC Endurance Championships at Kings Forest, Thetford on 27th August 2017. Not all of those requiring escorts have riding parents; so we are looking for some mounted adult (18yrs plus) escorts to ride with them both at qualifier rides and the finals. You don’t need to be an experienced endurance rider but you and your horse do need to be fit enough to ride at mostly trot and canter for 2-3 hours in the open countryside. Ride distances will be between 15-33km at the finals, depending on the level being entered. If you don’t have any prior experience of this sport we would need you to attend at least one training ride so that we can explain what is required for you to escort the children safely, with confidence and at the appropriate competitive speed. It can really be a lot of fun and Whaddon Chase are prepared to pay the entry fees for required escort riders who are supporting members to qualify for and compete at both the Grassroots levels and Main Championships. Charles Owen Hat Recall Please Check your hats

Charles Owen has announced a recall of their Limited Edition 4Star Cross Country Helmets due to concerns over the safety of the chrome buckles which have shown potential for extreme corrosion. This may result in buckle failure on helmets sized 54 (0½), 55 (1) and 56 (1½). Information regarding the helmet model can be found on the product satin, guarantee card or user instructions, and any queries should be directed to Charles Owen whose contact details can be found below. Please note: Only models with chrome buckles in the sizes stated are affected. Charles Owen are advising that all consumers should cease use of the affected helmets immediately, and that anybody in possession of a recalled helmet should contact them directly or the shop they purchased it from in order to receive a replacement or a full refund.
