Call To Order: The February 26, 2013 meeting was called to order at 2:40 p.m.

Approval of Agenda:

Motion: To approve the February 26, 2013 agenda. M/S/C: Thompson/Davis

Approval of Minutes:

Motion: To approve the January 22, 2013 minutes. M/S/C:

Consent Items: Instructional Aide C.O.A. deactivation-Move to informational instead of action item. Miles has submitted to Academic Senate for approval and the deactivation is pending CLC approval.

New Business:

1. ASTR P101 Course review and prerequisite added. Students will register before the KCCD board approves the prerequisite. Students may be dropped after registration due to prerequisites being added from this meeting forward for the fall 2013 semester.

CTE course review cycle and added a prerequisite. The committee discussed and approved adding the course to PC GE Area D.

4. GE Graduation Requirements-Discussion by the committee regarding PC GE courses and definition of areas. The secretary will forward to the committee a copy Curriculum Committee Meeting Minutes February 26, 2013 Page 3 of 3

of the PC GE definitions determined in 2005 and Title 5 Associate Degree requirements.

5. Prerequisites-Continued discussion on progress of prerequisites being implemented for CSU area D4.

Other: 1. BSAD Transfer Degree-The committee was notified that the BSAD degree was approved by the State Chancellors office. The State changed the degree from curriculum approved A.A. to A.S. which is consistent with the program approval handbook (PCAH). The PCAH is being updated about every two weeks. 2. Curriculum Handbook-Jon asked the committee to continue submitting changes for the handbook. James asked the committee to consider additional modifications to be included in the handbook. Two of the changes discussed were: when changes are due to the initiator before each curriculum meeting and how many changes to a COR will be completed during curriculum meetings.
