Canadian Viewers Advised to Ward Off Colds with Echinaforce

Canadian viewers advised to ward off colds with Echinaforce

Often, the winter cold means, well, winter colds. What can we do to help bolster our immune health? Holistic pharmacist and author Sherry Torkos joined CTV’s Morning Live to teach Canadian viewers about lifestyle changes that can optimize and support the immune system. She showed viewers multiple forms of scientifically proven Echinaforce that can help them keep those sniffles away.

You can take nutritional supplements, eat your fruits and vegetables, and wash your hands. But you may still find yourself afflicted with a runny nose or congestion. Torkos shared that her four- year-old son started school and came home with a runny nose within a week. So, her family “went into prevention and management mode.”

Recent research done on Echinaforce has caused Torkos to have a change of heart regarding echinacea. She explained that years ago, the research on echinacea was mixed. “It wasn’t convincing.” Then she reviewed the data from the largest clinical study to date done on echinacea, involving more than 700 participants. “{The study} was done at the Cold and Flu Center at Cardiff University in the U.K. on this particular type of echinacea called Echinaforce, a Swiss-based product made from fresh, organically grown Echinacea purpurea,” Torkos said. The researchers, “found that it reduced the frequency of colds, the symptoms, the severity, was able to speed healing. One nice feature as well is that it is safe for children ages two and above.” Parents may want to give a product specifically designed for children, Echinaforce Junior Echinacea Tabs.

What can you do when you start to feel a cold coming on? When you feel that tickle in your throat and it hurts to swallow, Torkos advised viewers to consider Echinaforce Sore Throat Spray for “instant relief of that sore throat.” She added that the throat spray is also “anti-viral, anti-bacterial and it reduces inflammation.”

A lot of people find a warm beverage soothing if they are feeling under the weather. Torkos recommended Echinaforce Extra Strength Hot Drink, which contains echinacea and elderberry to help relieve upper respiratory tract infections, as well as common cold and flu symptoms.
