Japanese House Application 2016-17

DUE: Monday, March 11, 2016 by 4 pm, to Laurel Brook, AAA of the Asian Studies Department in TOH 368.

Selection Criteria: Although the following are preferred, there will be exceptions based on interest, dedication, cultural experience, and the number of applicants:

-Demonstrates dedication, commitment and enthusiasm in supporting and spreading knowledge of Japanese culture at St. Olaf -Committed to often speak Japanese in the House - Preference to students who are in good academic standing - Preference to Asian Studies Majors or Japan Studies Concentrators - Preference to Juniors and Seniors, however Sophomores are also encouraged to apply. - Willing to help with Japanese language tables - Willing to host at least one event a month with other housemates

Selection Process:

Application due 3/11/16 at 4 pm in TOH 368 Select applicants will be invited for follow-up interviews before Spring Break. Applicants will be notified of decision before Spring Break.

Information about the House:

Located in the Porter House (1117 W. 2nd Street), the Japanese House has three singles, one double. The house has a kitchen, laundry machines and lovely common space.
