Dear Family & Friends:

Robert Fulton School and the Fulton Annex are uniting together to help spread some kindness throughout the foster care community, and we need YOUR help!

Did you know that many enter foster care under emergency circumstances with nothing but the ragged filthy clothes on their backs?

In one instance, four children, ages 3, 4, 5 and 7 were removed from a deserted building and arrived at a foster home filthy and ragged with absolutely nothing. In another instance a child arrived with only one left shoe. These are common stories within the foster care community.

Our goal is to create 100 Journey Bags for foster children to receive when they are removed from their homes. Journey Bags are new backpacks filled with age-appropriate personal items for the children. We will be collecting both monetary donations and new items to include into these bags.

With experience in foster care and an active member of the foster care community, we will work directly with Child Protection and Permanency Agents to make sure these children receive the bags upon that sensitive time of removal. We are eager to help give clean clothes, diapers, simple necessities...and most importantly...a ray of hope...to these suffering little ones right away.

Journey Bags are new backpacks filled with age-appropriate personal items for foster children that have been removed from their homes. During the months of January and February, we will be collecting both monetary donations and new items to go towards the bags. Last year we were able to produce and donate 160 bags to Hudson County! With your help we can have another successful year!
