ATK-KEE (Booth 7) ATK is the statewide assistive technology program. ATK provides a range of services to help Kansans achieve their goals in education, employment and community living. Core services are device demonstration, device loan, device reuse, and assistance in identifying public and private funds. Other services include information and assistance, assessment, and training. KEE is a statewide durable medical reuse program created by a partnership between Kansas Adult Medical Policy (Medicaid) and ATK. Equipment such as manual and power wheelchairs, home care beds, lifts and other devices may be donated to the program. These items are refurbished and then offered to Kansans at no cost.

Canine Companions for Independence (Booth 30) Canine Companions for Independence is a national nonprofit organization that trains dogs to assist people with disabilities other than blindness. Each assistance dog costs $45,000 to breed, train, & place, yet we provide them free of charge to the recipients.

Kansas AgrAbility (Booth 20) A partnership of Kansas State University Extension Services, Southeast Kansas Independent Living and ATK, the project helps farmers and other agricultural workers with disabilities or chronic health conditions and their families continue their role in production agriculture. AgrAbility support services include onsite farm assessments, demonstration and recommendation of AT devices, funding assistance and training of use and maintenance of devices.

Kansas Agricultural Mediation Services (Booth 21) The Kansas Agricultural Mediation Services (KAMS) provides financial and legal information and assistance to the Kansas ag community. Farmers needing help with legal issues, financial analysis, decision making, developing feasible plans are welcome to call this toll-free number -800-321-3276. All calls are free and confidential.

Kansas Deaf-Blind Project (Booth 43) KS Deaf-Blind Project serves learners between birth and 21 that experience vision and hearing impairments that effect learning. We provide assistance to schools and families.

Kansas Youth Empowerment Academy (KYEA) (Booth 34) KYEA works to educate, mentor, and support youth with disabilities in Kansas to be contributing members of their community. KYEA hosts leadership and empowerment programs for youth with all disabilities, ages 5-25. We also provide information and referral, peer support, goal planning, and community education.
