For this assignment, you will have the choice of either completing option #1 or option #2. Yes, that’s right, you can complete either option #1 or option #2 . You make the choice!! Poetry Project- Option #1-
Creative interpretation- You are to choose ONE poem either on your own by one of the poets listed below or one that we have read in class and create an interpretation and visualization of the poem’s meaning such as theme (s) characters, plot, symbolism, imagery, figurative language, etc.. This creative expression of the poem can be in the following and you are to chose ONE from the list below::
A collage such as a poster with pictures, objects, etc
A drawing , black and white or color on poster paper, etc..
A board game
A Diorama (Using a shoebox- a model representing the poem with three dimensional figures)
An interpretative video of the poem such as a dramatic reenactment, etc..

Your grade will reflect your effort in completing this project. Poetry Project Option #2
For this option, you will be putting together a poetry project and each poem will reflect ONE theme from the themes listed below. For example, if you choose the theme of animals and nature, each poem in your poetry project must be about animals and nature. You will type or neatly transcribe the poem keeping the poem in its original form with the poems title and author. You will decorate each poem and write a brief reflection (50 words min) of the poem. For example, what figurative language do you see in the poem? What is the style of the poem? What did you especially like about the poem, etc??
Your project will have a cover page (top page) and inside a table of contents listing all the poems and the author of each poem.

FOOD
Remember to choose one theme from above and find 10 poems that you think best reflect your chosen theme. Print or transcribe the poem, decorate the poem and write a brief analysis of each poem. The total amount of poems you will have for your project will be ten (10) poems. Also, be sure to include a title page (front page) and a table of contents.
Total points- 100 points
Your grade will reflect the amount of effort you put into your project.
