The post requires a broad range of skills, and we do not expect that one person can meet all of the requirements – this is why we have the post of Deputy Chief Guide (who will also join the Chief Guide on the Board of Trustees). It is our expectation that the two roles together will be able to fulfil all of the key aspects of the role. The Chief Guide may also choose to appoint one or more Assistant Chief Guides to fulfil other aspects of the role. Please indicate below what elements of the role description you would wish to lead and which you would be likely to delegate to the Deputy (and any Assistants).

Declaration By submitting this application form you confirm that:  You are aged 18 or over and that you are not prevented from serving as a charity trustee by reason of bankruptcy, unspent criminal convictions for offences of deception or dishonesty, or a legal order for removal/disqualification as a trustee or company director.  If appointed, you would agree to sign the Declaration of Eligibility form (in the Appendix below – you do not need to sign it now).  Your Go records are up to date.  You give your permission, should you be short-listed to the final stage, for your name and current role in Girlguiding to be made known to members of Council, the Board of Trustees and the Nominations and Governance Committee.
