My extensive experience in the Financial Services Industry has given me both the expertise and knowledge in Financial Planning to significantly contribute to the continued success and growth of any Employer. Furthermore, my sporting background both as a sportsman and as a coach at various levels has afforded me the opportunity to work with the most interesting people plus broaden my experiences and skills that have had nothing but a positive effect on my professional working life.

Jan 2015 to May 2017: National Australia Bank (Australia) Senior Financial Planner Retail & Business Banking – Crow’s Nest, Neutral Bay and Lane Cove (Lower North Shore)  Authorized Representative of National Australia Bank and MLC Australia  As part of my team I had five Wealth Advisors that I mentored and help train to become Senior Financial Planners in the future.  Relationship building and managing of NAB Business and Retail Bankers and their lending clients  Daily Full Financial Planning Reviews for all corporate, HNW and individual new and existing clients, focusing on best advice and needs based analysis.  Leads generation, building and maintaining client relations.  Report to Regional Wealth Executive Ms. Melody Lawson on the day to running of the business center making sure that all Key Performance Indicators are fully met each week.  Up-skilling and training of all staff and keeping them informed as well as their clients on all regulatory changes and any new products to market.  Main software systems used Banking CRM and XPlan.  Seminar Presentations to HNW clients on a quarterly basis.  I returned to Ireland 22nd March 2017 as my Father has been unwell since September 2016, while it was a family decision I have decided to remain in Dublin permanently.

March 2011 to March 2014: Liberty Asset Management Ltd (Ireland) Senior Financial Consultant CFP, QFA  From March 2011 to December 2013, I achieved between 115% and 130% of target.  Daily Full Financial Planning Reviews for all corporate, HNW and individual clients, focusing on best advice and needs based analysis.  Manage and mentor three staff members including, a Financial Consultant, a Trainee Financial Consultant and a Sales Support employee.  Leads generation, building and maintaining client relations.  Reported to Sales Director on all business.  I enjoyed working for Liberty Asset Management for the past three year’s, however my reason for leaving this employment was to relocate to Australia where my girlfriend was living.

October 2009 to March 2011: Career Break  I accepted the opportunity to take a three year career break that gave me a lump sum to do some travelling and following some personal dreams that I had.  Completed F.A.A Private Pilot’s License – Single Engine Land, Miami, Florida, USA.  Extensive travel throughout U.S.A & Australia.  While on Career Break I was employed by Colonial First State in the Client Services within Fund Management Team.

April 2007 to November 2009: Irish Life & Permanent Plc (Ireland) Senior Financial Consultant QFA  Achieved 95% target and achieved a top 3 national branch ranking in 2009 & 2010 for the Henry Street Branch in Dublin City.  Daily Full Financial Reviews for all corporate and branch clients of ptsb network, focusing on best advice needs analysis.  Worked closely with Bank Manager and Assistant Bank Manager – prospective, new and current clients.  Managing and mentoring two staff members, a Banc Assurance coordinator and a Banc Assurance Trainee Consultant.  Developed a tracking and monitoring system from leads, meetings in electronic diary, sales, staff referrals and credit earned for branch – this was rolled out nationwide to all branches.  Weekly training and development of all branch staff to further enhance the Branch in all areas of service. November 2006 to April 2007: IIB Wealth Management (Ireland) Wealth Manager QFA  Head hunted to be a part of a new Wealth Management team. This was the first time for IIB to be in the Wealth Management / Banc assurance environment.  The strategy was to use the personal and corporate lending book to generate Banc assurance leads and business.  Advising and recommending products from all providers in the market to clients.  Negotiation of commission fees, administration fees, renewal fees, fund charges and allocation rates.

June 2006 to October 2006: Fitzsimmons Finance, Kildare, Ireland Business Development Manager Advice  Responsible for developing business in the local area with the view to broaden this to the wider national market. Plans for opening an office in Galway.  Also, had to meet with all varieties of clients for Mortgage Advice and Protection advice.  My reason for resigning from this role was because the owner Barry Fitzsimmons would not let go of share of the business and list me as Director as originally agreed.

September 2004 to May 2006: Bank of Ireland Life Insurance and Investments Manager QFA  Daily Full Financial Reviews to all corporate and branch clients of BOI branch network, focusing on needs based analysis.  Worked closely with the Bank Manager and Assistant Bank Manager – prospective, new and current clients.  Managing and mentoring two staff members, a Banc Assurance coordinator and a Banc Assurance Trainee Consultant.  Weekly training and development of all branch staff to further enhance the Branch in all areas of service.  Development of business relationships in local area.

January 2002 to September 2004: Keane Environmental Ltd National Sales Manager – Heating Engineering Industry  Managing and providing strategic direction to 12 sales staff of the Dublin office in Park West Industrial Park Co. Dublin.  Responsible for all customer/supplier relations, including Architects, Project Managers, Engineers and Contractors.  Pricing, quoting and marketing of all products.  Relationship building with Consulting Engineers, Suppliers, Project Managers and new clients.  Suppliers of the following products - Kampmann Perimeter and Under-floor Heating (Germany), Herz Radiator Valves (Austria), Microflex Piping (Belgium) and Hydraquip Flexi-pipe (UK)

Irish National Champions Women’s Novice 8+ 2012, Irish National Champions Women’s Intermediate 8+ 2012 & 2013.  Coached Novice / Intermediate Women Neptune Rowing Club 2007/08 – 3rd place Irish National Rowing Championships in Cork.  Rower for Neptune Rowing Club, Dublin – 2000 to 2007 competed in Ireland, Henley, London, Nottingham and Germany.  Professional Soccer Player – State league & National Soccer League Australia – 1988 to 1999. Two Player of Year Awards, Two Leading Goal Scorer Awards and Three Most Valuable Player Awards.  N.S.W.
