Serbia and Montenegro
Communication of 17.VII.2006: Telekom Srbija a.d., Beograd, announces the following conditions for sending and delivery of telegrams in Serbia and Montenegro: – only ordinary telegrams are acceptable for delivery; – only telegrams with full postal address and also with the service indications TFx (Telephone delivery) and FAXx (Facsimile delivery) will be accepted. Telegrams with full postal address will be delivered by post office. Telegrams with the service indication TFx will be delivered by telephone. Telegrams with the service indication FAXx will be delivered by facsimile; – telegrams with service indications LX (De luxe form) and LXDEUIL (De luxe form of condolence) are not acceptable; – delivery is available for the telegrams received from Monday to Friday. The time schedule for sending and delivery of telegrams is as follows: 1. same-day delivery will be applied for telegrams received four hours (local time) before the end of the working time of the post office;
2. next working day delivery will be applied for telegrams received after the above-mentioned time.
In Serbia, delivery on Saturdays, Sundays and during Serbian official holidays is not possible. In Montenegro, delivery on Saturday is available from 0800 hours to 1500 hours (local time). Delivery on Sunday and during Montenegrian official holidays is possible only in the city of Podgorica from 0800 hours to 1500 hours (local time). The opening hours of the International Telegraph Centre for Serbia and Montenegro – Gentex Beograd (network answerback code 12919 bgd yu) are as follows: – 0700 hours – 2100 hours (local time), from Monday to Friday; – 0700 hours – 2100 hours (local time), on Saturday; – on Sundays and during Serbian offical holidays, the Centre is not in service. Iridium Satellite LLC (country codes +881 6 and +881 7) Communication of 9.VI.2006: Iridium Satellite LLC, Tempe announces to the attention of subscribers to “AT&T’s Global Hubbing Services”, that with immediate effect AT&T can no longer offer services to terminate Iridium codes +881 6 and +881 7 to the Iridium network for an undetermined period of time while they are performing system upgrades to the AT&T network. Telex service
Australia Communication of 30.VI.2006: Telstra Corporation Limited (“Telstra”), Melbourne, Victoria, announces that it has made a decision to exit the InTelex service (Telex) in Australia as from 1st July 2006. In order to provide a continuing service option for Telstra’s customers, Telstra has divested its existing telex business to Matrix Omni Solutions Pty Ltd (“Matrix”) – ABN 99 083 936 903. Matrix will use Telstra’s existing network infrastructure to provide an equivalent ongoing service. This should mean a minimum of disruption to the termination and transit of telex traffic.
