PARISH MISSION STATEMENT: As the Roman Catholic Mother Church of Greensboro, St. Benedict's Parish Mission, responding faithfully to Christ's call, is to bring all people closer to God through Liturgy, fellowship, service, outreach, and works of charity.

Weekend Mass PARISH REGISTRATION: Welcome all new families and individuals. Sat. Miraculous Medal Membership is a condition for the reception of the Sacraments of Novena at 4:45pm Baptism, Confirmation and First Communion at St. Benedict, and for the Mass at 5:00pm parish to issue a sponsorship certificate for those asked to be sacramental Sun. 8am & 11am sponsors. You must be a registered, contributing member for at least three (3) months before a certificate will be given. Confessions Registration forms are available in the Parish Office. Weekday before 12:15pm Saturday 4 - 4:30pm SACRAMENT OF THE ANOINTING OF THE SICK: If you are and by appointment seriously ill, going in for surgery or weak from old age, you may receive the sacrament of the anointing of the sick. Please contact Fr. Duong if you Weekday Mass desire to receive this sacrament. THE LADIES GROUP will be going out to dinner on Wednesday, August 26th. We will meet at Fuji Suchi, 433Pisgah Church Rd., Greensboro (282-8255). No reservations are required. We will meet at the restaurant at 5:30 PM. All ladies of the parish are welcome

PIANO LESSONS: Elena Nezhdanova-Cunninghgam is an organist/pianist at St. Benedict’s church and is a current Doctoral student at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Elena has 14 years of teaching experiences working with students of all ages and abilities. She is currently teaching privately at Moore Music Store and Cary School of Music. Mass begins at 2:00 PM and will be followed by a reception. Call the church office to be included.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES We will be collecting school supplies to be donated to local schools. All donations will be accepted at the Church after Mass or the Parish Office on Monday, Wednesday or Friday. Thank you.

FAITH FORMATION NEWS

SUNDAY SCHOOL 2015-2016:

Registration for children's Faith Formation classes, Grades 1 - High School begins now. Forms are in the vestibules of the Church but ONLY need to be filled out if your children will be NEW to our program. Current students/families will have a chance to update their personal information on file later this summer.

CATECHIST BRUNCH – August 29th, 11AM in the Parish Hall.

Faith Formation 2015-2016 begins on SEPTEMBER 13th.
