MY 1ST YEAR AS A DIRECTOR I STRUGGLEEEEEEDDDDD!!!!!

REMEMBER, I BECAME A DIRECTOR-AUGUST 1 AND GOT LAID OFF AUGUST 13TH…NO TIME TO PREP…

I DECIDED THAT I WAS NOT GOING TO FILL OUT ANOTHER JOB APPLICATION…

I DIDN’T KNOW WEAHTER I WAS COMING OR GOING, BUT I WANTED SOOOO MUCH MORE FOR MYSELF AND MY DAUGHTER…When I started MK, I WAS A SINGLE MOTHER…WORKING FULLTIME, GOING TO SCHOOL FULLTIME, CARING FOR A SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD, IN THE MILITARY AS A ARMY NURSE AND GOING THRU A DIVORCE…ANYBODY “THINK” THEY HAVE A LOT ON THEIR PLATE…

I WANTED MORE!! I WANTED MORE! DID I SAY, I WANTED MORE!!!

EVEN WHEN I WASN’T WHERE I WANTED TO BE I SHOWED UP-TO TRAINING, EVERY EVENT, WITH A SMILE…EVEN WHEN MY FRIENDS WERE DOING “EXTREMELY” WELL…I NEVER SAID ANYTHING TO THEM ABOUT WHERE I WAS IN MY BUSINESS---I JUST FOCUSED ON WHERE I WAS GOING…

I THINK AISSA HILLEBRAND, SAID IT BEST—DON’T FOCUS ON WHAT YOU ARE GOING THRU, FOCUS ON WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO!!!!

I HAVE PUT TOGETHER 10 STEPS TO SUCCESS ON HOW I BECOME A TOP CADILLAC DIRECTOR….

1. DECIDE ON WHERE YOU WANT TO BE…FABULOUS 50’S DIRECTOR…CADILLAC DIRECTOR…TRIP EARNING DIRECTOR…MILLION $$ DIRECTOR…

2. ASK FOR WHAT YOU WANT….MAKE A COMMAND FROM THE UNIVERSE…THE UNIVERSE SAYS, YOUR WISH IS MY COMMAND….

3. RAISE YOUR DESERVE LEVEL TO THE GOAL…

4. BE HUMBLE AND GRATIFUL FOR WHERE YOU ARE…BE EXCITED FOR OTHER PEOPLES’S SUCCESS…ITS CONTAGIOUS…

WHEN JERUSHER AND I WENT TO GO PICK UP HER CADILLAC…I SAT IN HER CAR, AND I WAS SO HAPPY FOR HER….I THOUGHT TO MYSLEF…I HAVE TO GET IN THE CADILLAC…I HAVE NEVER DONE $16,000IN PRODCUTION FOR CADILLAC, BUT I MADE THAT MY GOAL…WHEN WE WENT TO LEADERSHIP, THE CADILLAC WENT ON SALE AND I KNEW I ATTRACTED THIS INTO MY LIFE….YOU ARE NOT MEAN TO OTHERS AS YOU MAKE YOUR TRANSISSON FROM WHERE YOU ARE AND WHERE YOU WANT TO BE…

5. EXPECT GREAT THINGS AND GREAT THINGS WILL HAPPEN…

6. EXECUTE YOU GOALS…ACTION CREATES MOTIVATION….PUSH YOURSLEF BETYOND YOUR SELF MADE LIMITATIONS….

7. WORK YOUR BUSINESS UNCODIDITIONALLY…EVENTHIOUGH YOU MAY NOT SEE THE RESULTS, KEEP PUSHING…

8. TAKE PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR BUSINESS, IF SOMETHING IS NOT HAPPENING, MAKE IT HAPPEN...YOU ARE THE DIRECTOR AND IF THE SHIP IS GOING BACKWARDS…WELL GUESS WHAT YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE DRIVIN….IF THINGS ARE NOT GOING ACCORDING THE PLAN…

I NEEDED TO DO MORE…

9. RESEPECT THE SUIT…THIS MEANS IF YOU ARE A DIRECTOR…RESEPECT YOUR SENIOR, YOUR EXECUTIVE, YOUR NATIONAL, ETC…HOW YOU TREAT YOUR SUPERRIOR IS HOW YOUR PEOPLE WILL TREAT YOU…Its Karma…Eventhough, you don’t “THINK”, your people know how you treat your Director…The Universe knows and you attract “EXACTLY” what you give out

******In the military we call it “THE GUY”…Don’t be the guy, that no one can count on, always wants to do something different…If it’s said to meet a 1pm, then THE GUY wants to meet a 6pm- somewhere else, opposite of their COACH… Don’t be THE GIRL!!!!

This is how I made it thru, If Shannon ask me to do a task, I don’t say well Shannon, I already have tons of things to do…I just make it work into my plan, because I am AFRAID of negative effects it may have on my business…

10. NEVER…NEVER…EVER DOUBT…KNOW THAT YOU KNOW, THINGS WILL HAPPEN AS THEY SHOULD…

WHEN YOU YOU DO ALL OF THOSE STEPS IN TANDUM…YOU WILL SEE YOURSELF START TO TRANSFORM, INTO THE PERSON AND DIRECTOR YOU ALWAYS WANTED TO BE…

PEOPLE WILL ATTRACT TO YOU…IT’S THE LAW OF ATTRACTION!!! Limos and Buses

There is a woman sitting at a bus stop. It's a hot day and there is very little shade. She sits facing the oncoming traffic and is very, very busy....waiting. You pull up to the bus stop in a long, white stretch limousine. Your limo stops and you open the door.

You call out to her, "I'm going your way, would you like to ride in the limo?"

"No thanks," she answers, "I'm waiting for the bus."

"Yes, but the bus might not come, and even if it does, it's an awfully long, uncomfortable ride to your destination. Come join me in the limo, it'll take you anywhere you want to go."

"No thanks," she says again, "I'm waiting for the bus." You are now absolutely baffled. It seems almost ridiculous that she wouldn't take the limo ride. Can't she see what a wonderful opportunity it is for her? Can't she see that she will get to her dream destination so much faster and better? What's wrong with her?

Nothing. She's just not ready to change.

So you get out of the limo, sit with her awhile, explain all the features of the limo and all the benefits of the ride. You tell her how much better her life will be in the limo. You pour out your heart and soul and tell her all about the day you were sitting at a bus stop and your limo pulled up. You point out other women in other limos who are laughing and enjoying life and heading to their dream destination. And she still says, "no."

In the meantime, another limo passes by the two of you and pulls up to the next bus stop down the road. The woman at that bus stop is ready for a limo...and she gets in.

You see, you can not actually motivate another person. You can only create an opportunity for her to motivate herself.

You can not make her want something. She has to want it all on her own.

When you offer the Mary Kay® opportunity to another woman, you are giving her an incredible gift. A chance to change her life. It is insulting to your business to beg someone to be a part of it. You don't have to convince anyone of the amazing opportunity you have to share with them, you just have to share it. Those women who choose to get in the limo will flourish. The others are waiting for a bus. If you spend time convincing them to get in the limo you will miss out on meeting the women who will. Close the door, let them go, and move on down the road.
