Yarn: Benvitt with gold – Glamour, gold – Madeira Lamé Needles 2 mm double points (5) or 16 " 2 mm circular needle
Cast on 36 stitches with gold yarn and use 2 2 mm needles . Change to white and knit 1 row rib (K1, P1).
Continue with st st until piece measures 2 cm.
New knit pattern: Row 1: K5, *P1, K4*, repeat between *-*across row, ending with P1, K5 Row 2: P5, *K1, P4*, repeat between *-*across row, ending with K1, P5
Repeat Row 1 and 2 until piece measures 4 cm
Change to gold yarn and knit 1 row.
Row 1: P5, *K1, P4*, repeat between *-*across row, ending with K1, P5 Row 2: K5, *P1, K4*, repeat between *-*across row, ending with P1, K5 Row 3: P5, *K1, P4*, repeat between *-*across row, ending with K1, P5
Change to white yarn and continue knitting with 4 needles in the round or use a circular needle:

Bind off in rib (K1, P1).
Hat: Cast on 80 stitches with gold and divide on 4 needles. Knit in the round.
Change to white and knit in garter stitch.
Row 1 – 10: Knit
Row 11: Knit and decrease evenly across row until 50 stitches. Row 12: Knit Row 13: Knit and decrease evenly across row until 32 stitches. Row 14: Knit Row 15 – 30: Knit
Row 31: Knit and decrease evenly across row until 16 stitches. Row 32: Knit Row 33: Knit and decrease evenly across row until 8 stitches.
Darn yarn through remaining stitches.
Weave in yarn.
