1. Woody learns about patents and trademarks in this chapter. A trademark is a word, symbol, logo, picture, or any combination to identify one seller’s goods. For instance, McDonald’s trademark is the golden arches. When you see the golden arches, you immediately think of McDonalds. When you see the “swoosh” you immediately think of Nike. Name 3 brands you see regularly and draw their trademark. 2. If you were going to create a trademark for Woody’s Bathe No More Body Rub, what would it look like?

3. Open up the Classified section of your local newspaper. Circle 3 trademarks you see.

4. Research Colonel Sanders and also Thomas Edison. Name 3 ways they were alike and 3 ways they were different.

5. Cut out Chapter 6 and paste it in your scrapbook on the designated page. Collect all ten chapters and at the end of the series you will have your very own Woody book!
