The professional staff includes We provide after-school discussion groups as well as Saturday human relations agents, outreach workers and community recreational activities that encourage autonomy and promote animators. We maintain professional ties with a number of social relationships. universities and colleges who provide student fieldwork placements. AVATIL is also supported by many volunteers.  Residential Programs Apprentissage à la Vie Autonome We provide short and medium-term transitional living  programs designed to promote independent living skills as Membership Towards Independent Living well as foster personal development and social relationships. Members receive information about our programs and Learning goals and length of stay are based on the needs of activities. Individual and family memberships are available to each individual client. clients, family members, friends, volunteers and individuals in the community.  Community Support We provide long-term follow-up services to our clients living on their own in the community. These services include help with apartment and money management, and ongoing guidance on health and personal matters.

 Social Development We provide all clients with access to discussion groups and social activities, designed to reduce isolation, foster friendships and enhance taking their place in the community.

Our Resources  Funding The provincial and federal governements provide financial support for core staffing and the operation of our buildings. Family members, foundations and community organizations are solicited to help with expenses not covered by government sources.
