Note: Applicants must be of good health, good physical fitness, be able to lift/carry 35lbs (16 kg), to walk without difficulty and in long distances in difficult terrain, be comfortable on boats in nearshore/offshore waters, able to swim, and work in harsh weather conditions at times. I understand that the BDRI internship programme is designed for mature individuals who will live and work in a group setting, with people from different countries and cultures, and requires a great degree of responsibility, adaptability and teamwork that I am capable of exercising. I understand that due to the nature of these programmes, it is essential that a high level of discipline and understanding is established and maintained. The BDRI Director will remove applicants from the programme if he feels that the continued presence of the individual concerned is detrimental to the programme goals. I will be considered to be responsible for my own actions and any damage or loss arising there from. I understand that BDRI is the owner of all work products developed and research data collected by students while participating in the programme. The use of these data by students for undisclosed and unapproved personal benefit or commercial application, financially or professionally or in any other way is not permitted. Any observations made during my internship may only be used or published with prior permission from the BDRI director. I am aware of the internship fee that includes the accommodation, tuition, and all associated field costs during my stay (training, insurances, use of materials, fieldwork, electricity, gas, Spanish taxes etc.). I will be responsible for my travel expenses, any other expenses incurred during my internship period and for providing and cooking my own food during my stay.
