Johnnie Riddles Shortridge, 76, of Wichita Falls, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005, in Wichita Falls.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at the First Baptist Church of Holliday with the Rev. Darryl Sewell, pastor and the Rev. Ron Redding, pastor of Highland Heights Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at the Holliday Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
A daughter of the late Elmer and Effie (Selby) Bowman, she was born Feb. 14, 1929, in Marlow, Okla. On July 9, 1976, she married David Shortridge in Wichita Falls. Mrs. Shortridge worked for many years in charge of the data processing department at the home office of White's Auto Store in Wichita Falls. She was a long time member of the Highland Heights Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley Riddles Dietz; her son-in-law, Charlie Dietz; two brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include her husband. David Shortridge of Wichita Falls; son, Terry Riddles and wife, Sandy of Lakeside City; stepson, Michael Wayne Shortridge and wife, Lori of Bellfair, Washington; grandchildren, Shannon Schroeder and husband, Perry of Lakeside City; Shelby Crabtree and husband, Sam of Lake Arrowhead; Bryan Riddles and wife, Michelle of Wichita Falls; Aaron Riddles and wife, Shannon of Wichita Falls; and Katie Haley of Bellfair, Washington; great-grandchildren, Erica Askins; Kayla Islin, Logan Islin; and Miranda Schroeder; great-great-granddaughter Ashlyn Riddles; sisters, Edna Dillon and husband, Bill of Duncan, Okla., and Wilma Pryor of Marlow, Okla.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Don Riddles, Tom Russell, Jeral Pryor, Jim Pryor, Tad Pryor, Bobby Reese, and Earl Wayne Reese.
For those desiring, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
