On behalf of the Ohio Academy of Science and the University of Cincinnati, thank you for participating in the 2016 University of Cincinnati Science and Engineering Expo Saturday, March 19th.

This year marks the twelfth anniversary of the Science and Engineering Expo and we are excited to offer $50,000 in scholarships and cash awards. In addition, students with exceptional projects may advance to the Ohio State Science Day in Columbus.

Exhibitor Load-in Times

Please Note: These are the pre-arranged load-in times for the exhibitors. If you are NOT on this list and you believe that you need to use the loading dock for your equipment, please contact me with an appropriate load-in time so I can alert the volunteers of this. Also, if you are on this list and do not believe you need to use the loading dock please let me know as soon as possible so we can determine how many volunteers we will need.

Exhibitors may pull up directly to the front doors of TUC to unload or load display items, but your car must be moved to street parking/a parking garage after unloading. The Exhibit Drop Off/Load Map provided shows how to get to the front of TUC.

Exhibitors may also unload/load from the dock, but the gates are closed on weekends. You must call these numbers for assistance:

Event Information

Parking

Enclosed is a campus map and instructions for traveling to UC. We recommend that parents use either the Campus Green Garage (located next to the College of Business) or Woodside Garage (under the Langsam library) highlighted on the map. For those with physical disabilities we have made arrangements for you to park in the CCM garage. Please note that there will be no parking in the drop-off area and that normal parking rates apply.

Student volunteers will be on hand at each garage to direct you to Tangeman University Center. Please see attached campus map for detailed information.

Lunch We have several food options in TUC, and one just outside at the Steger Student Life Center. There will be student workers on the floor to watch your exhibit if you choose to leave to get lunch. Student workers will be in designated UC t-shirts. Feel free to ask a student worker either on the floor or at the Level 3 information desk if you would like to grab a quick lunch.

We have included a map of nearby food options for you. We will have volunteers on hand the day of the fair to direct you to the various food options around campus.

Student Volunteers Each group of three exhibitors will be assigned a UC Student Volunteer (we call them “Exhibitor Captains”) to assist with set up, tear down, and any other needs you may have. The volunteers are here to make the fair run as smoothly as possible and to make your experience at the UC Science Fair a positive one. Driving Directions

Directions From the north or south via I-75 From I-75, take the Hopple Street exit (exit 3). Turn left off the exit on to Hopple Street. As you cross the first intersection (Central Parkway), Hopple Street becomes MLK Drive. Follow Martin Luther King Drive up the hill to Clifton Avenue. ML King Drive borders the north edge of the West Campus. Clifton Avenue borders the west edge of the West Campus.

From the west via I-74 Take I-74 east to I-75 south. Take the Hopple Street exit (Exit 3). Turn left off the exit on to Hopple Street. As you cross the first intersection (Central Parkway), Hopple Street becomes MLK Drive. Follow Martin Luther King Drive up the hill to Clifton Avenue. ML King Drive King borders the north edge of West Campus. Clifton Avenue borders the west edge of West Campus.

From the north via I-71 From I-71 south, take the Taft Road exit (exit 3). The exit places you on Taft Road, a one-way street heading west. Taft Road becomes Calhoun Street as you near campus. Stay on Calhoun until it ends at Clifton Avenue. Turn right on Clifton Avenue.

From the south via I-71 Take I-71 north until it merges with I-75 just south of Florence, Ky. Stay on I-75 after you cross the Ohio River. From the left lane on I-75, take the Hopple Street exit (Exit 3). Turn left off the exit on to Hopple Street. As you cross the first intersection (Central Parkway), Hopple Street becomes MLK Drive. Follow Martin Luther King Drive up the hill to Clifton Avenue. ML King Drive borders the north edge of the West Campus. Clifton Avenue borders the west edge of the West Campus.
