STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING CLASSES. BODYPUMP® by Les Mills is a worldwide program offered at thousands of gyms. This is the original total body BARBELL workout. You are led to perform traditional weight room exercises like squats, presses and lifts targeting all muscle groups of the body. The music, exercises and instructors take you to a new level of weight lifting. Routines are 60 minutes long and change every 8-12 weeks to break plateaus and keep results coming. BODYCOMBAT® by Les Mills. One try and you will be hooked! BODY COMBAT is a martial-arts inspired class for everyone with moderate fitness levels, because the moves are simple and easy to follow. Routines change every 8-12 weeks to break plateaus and keep results coming. . Burn and Firm all in one class. Bust through plateaus in this interval workout! Three minute intervals of weights and cardio on & off the step. . Cardio Pump is a 60 minute combination class that alternates strength training with easy to follow step or plyometric moves designed to sculpt each muscle group. All fitness levels welcome. Express Circuit Training is 30 minutes on the fitness floor utilizing the strength training equipment to get a total body workout. You will circuit from machine to machine with the instruction of a personal trainer to obtain a full body workout. Get in, get fit and get out!! Fit to a “T”RX is designed to maximize calorie expenditure while tightening and toning those “key” trouble areas of the body. This the perfect class for those looking to improve core strength and for getting in great shape quickly. H.I.I.T: This High Intensity Interval Training program is a type of cardio training in which there is a longer work to shorter rest ratio of very high intensity intervals. H.I.I.T training not only helps performance, but it also allows the body to burn calories up to 24-48 hours after the workout. LeanXtreme, Lean TRXtreme is a power-packed 60 minute workout guaranteed to get you the lean physique you’ve always wanted! This class utilizes muscle-confusion techniques that involve compound exercises with the TRX, dumbbells, body weight and bands. Include short cardio blasts in this mix and you’ve got muscle building and fat blasting at its best. All fitness levels are welcome Power Hour is one hour of intense full body strength training utilizing dumb bells, medicine balls, bands and much more. Stepaholics is 45 minutes of intermediate to advance step choreography for step lovers. Turbo Kickboxing® combines the best of two worlds: martial arts and group exercise. This is the ultimate 45-60 minute cardiovascular challenge with a sport specific warm-up, bouts of intense intervals, easy to follow combinations, kickboxing specific strength and endurance. Xtreme Endurance This 90 min class is dedicated to pushing your body to the next level. Cardio workout with strength conditioning, toning, and muscle development through use of plyometrics, interval training, and weights. Extreme Endurance will challenge your muscular endurance as well as balance and coordination by moving through all planes of motion with multi-joint and compound exercises
CYCLE CLASSES Cycling is a 45-60 minute aerobic-based workout that burns a ton of calories. This great workout improves cardiovascular endurance and strengthens the heart. Each participant is in control of the speed, intensity and resistance of his or her own bike. Along with the room’s special visual effects, this workout will leave you feeling completely invigorated! Cycle/Pump is 30 minutes of cycling followed by 30 minutes of strength training or a combo class geared to improve strength. This is the perfect combination for the ultimate workout! Cycle Core is 45 minutes of cycle and 15 minutes of core. Each participant is in control of the speed, intensity and resistance of his or her own bike. Any level will benefit from this class. Cycle Express is a 40 minute aerobic-based workout that burns a ton of calories in a short amount of time.
The following classes require tickets to ensure adequate room and equipment: BODYPUMP, Express Circuit, TRXtreme, Zumba Toning. Tickets for classes held in the Multifitness Studio can be picked up at the Trainers desk 30 min before class scheduled start time. Tickets for classes held in the Gymnasium will be passed out at the Gymnasium door 15 min before class scheduled start time. One ticket per person please MIND & BODY CLASSES Beginner Tai Chi *– This 60 minute class is geared toward teaching the basics and foundations that are needed for progressions in Tai Chi. Tai Chi is an ancient art that uses gently flowing movements to increase balance, coordination, flexibility, muscle strength, and definition. Body Barre*-This 60 minute class fuses techniques from Pilates, Dance, Calisthenics, and Yoga. You will streamline form, tighten and tone your entire body without adding bulk. This combination of exercise will create balance, posture awareness, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance. Gentle Yoga** – is 60 minutes of yoga fundamentals for both beginners and advanced. Mat Pilates** – is 60 minutes of a system focused on improving flexibility, strength and body awareness, without building bulk. Pilates key elements are core muscle strength and spinal alignment. Your instructor will continuously prompt you to concentrate deeply on your core muscles, as well as on breathing, the contraction of your muscles and the quality (not quantity) of your movements.. Pilates All Ages and Stages *– is a 55 minute Pilates class for any level with gentle introductory exercises as well as coached methods for advanced strength and core improvements. Stability balls, elastic tubing, weighted balls, and Bosu’s are some of the tools utilized in this class. PiYo Strength®*** - is an athletic blend of Pilates and Yoga. Enjoy this unique combination class to lengthen and strengthen your muscles. Yoga Stretch and Meditation* The class starts with a gentle warm up followed by deep yoga stretches. The second part of the class involves guided meditations in comfortable positions to relax and renew the nervous system and refresh the body. STREAM LINE SCULPT**- Burn calories, sculpt, and increase muscle tone, while shaping your muscles in 60 minutes. This class combines the core-focused strength of Pilates with the fluidity of Yoga. Tai Chi** – 60 minutes of an ancient art that uses gentle flowing movements to increase balance, coordination, flexibility, muscle strength, and definition. Practiced regularly, Tai Chi can help you reduce stress and increase energy and stamina with an overall increased sense of well-being. Knowledge of basic Tai Chi is recemended. Yoga Fundamentals* – 60 minutes for beginners. The fundamentals of yoga are building blocks for a strong yoga base. Yoga Multi-Level** - is 60 minutes of yoga for any level with gentle introductory exercises as well as coached methods for advanced strength and flexibility improvements. Vinyasa Yoga*** is a more vigorous style of yoga in which yoga poses are linked together as a flow, with emphasis on building strength and flexibility. Previous yoga experience is highly recommended. *No experience needed ** Fundamentals helpful *** Experience recommended AQUA CLASSES Aqua Combo Enjoy a unique combination of new formats taken to the water. This class will include aqua cardio dance movement, water strength training and Yoga inspired stretching. AquaFit Aquafit is 60 minutes of fun water exercise designed for both young and young at heart. This class works all major muscle groups and includes 10-15 minutes of stretching, a 20-25 minute cardiovascular workout and 20-25 minutes of toning and “warm down.” Aqua Zumba® will take your water exercise to a new level with Latin inspired dance moves. This pool party will be a great workout for any levels. Early Morning Aqua Wake up to 60 minutes of a lower impact exercise that elevates the heart rate and improves muscle strength. Hydro Fit Harness the power of liquid resistance and experience a body-friendly workout that truly feels good. Our energetic shallow- water class is a great way to burn calories and get fit without the wear and tear on your body. Wave Dancing is 60 minutes of the best low impact aquatic dance movements combined with strength training segments to work your whole body. It’s so much fun you will never know you are working out! Water Works is an aqua fitness class that uses the properties of water resistance to get in shape and feel great. Water works is great for all, but especially for senior adults, beginners, and those desiring a lower intensity workout. ZUMBA® Zumba® is an exhilarating ,caloric-burning, body-energizing, Latin-inspired dance fitness! The cardio-based routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. It's fun, easy, effective, and anyone can do it! Ditch the workout and come join the Zumba® party!
