Finance plays a very vital role in progress of a company therefore it is very essential aspect. Every company requires a finance director for the growth of the business whether a company has reached the enterprise level or makes up at the threshold of attaining this status.

Duties and Responsibilities

There are a number of duties and responsibilities which are expected to be fulfilled by a finance director as follows:

 The main duty is to manage the financial section of the business and perform the related duties.

 He or she has to do the controlling cash flow management, management and development of financial department’s personnel, external auditing etc.

 He or she has to control the business reviews, budgets of a company and needs to monitor that timely.

 He or she has to manage all the financial matters and issues pertaining to the third party interest.

 He or she has to communicate and interact with the fenders, bankers, investors and all other types of third party elements with the other clients as well.

 It will be the duty to interact with everyone who is related to the financial aspect of the company.

 The director should have the ability and expertise to demonstrate every number as will have to interpret and translate the numbers.

Skills and Specifications

The required skills and specifications of a finance director are as follows:

 The person needs to have a thorough and deep knowledge in accounting.

 He or she should be very good at analyzing things so should have good analytical skills.  He or she must have the flair for good interpersonal communication.

 The person needs to have a very strong sense of Observation.

 It will be needed to have adequate expertise in the related field.

Education and Qualifications

 The basic degree required for the job is a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics or Management related field from an accredited institution.

 He or she needs to have some past working experience in controlling and managing the financial field.
