Activity 1: Mathematical Development

Adult Directed / Focused . Listen to the instruction: ‘Dewisa bwced.’ – Choose a bucket. and click on your choice. . Screen opens with a background and a picture of a bucket and spade. . Listen to the instruction: ‘Sawl rhawiad sydd ei angen i lenwi’r bwced? How many spadefulls are needed to fill the bucket?

. By clicking on the spade, the sand will be put into the bucket. The corresponding number will be heard and displayed in the sun.

Adult Directed / Focused . The object of the activity is to create the perfect sandcastle. . Screen opens with the following items: can dŵr - watering can rhaw - spade pwced - bucket

. Listen to the instruction:

‘Faint o ddŵr a faint o dywod sydd ei angen i wneud castell?’ How much water and how much sand are needed to make a sandcastle? . By clicking on the spade or the watering can the sand or the water will be put into the bucket. The corresponding number will be heard and displayed above the spade or the watering can. . When the bucket is full click on the button ‘troi’r bwced’ – turn the bucket . If the mixture is correct the sandcastle will be built. . If the mixture is incorrect the sandcastle will collapse.
