Think… “Wow, how could I use this question to be able to help prepare my students for this?”

“What can we do differently every day to help our students be prepared to learn how to answer questions like this one?” How do I get my students to login into the MIST test?

1. There is an icon on all MNPS laptops that has the MIST 2015 logo beside it.

2. Have students double click and enter the ticket information that has been generated.

What should I do if I can’t find my tickets? USE this login for MIST (the WEBSITE) and click the students tab and then type in name at top (SEARCH) to

find tickets. What if it says the students need reset or has been paused? (Call Kim) & READ BELOW:

Login MIST (the website): Search for Student and click on their name (see same steps above.) Click on the BOX beside their test and click the PAUSE button. Have the student go all the way in and login until it pops up that they need a proctor to UNLOCK the test. Now click the PLAY button. Tell Student to click CONTINUE and now the test should be back on! (or you can always text/email me lol) How do I practice for the TNReady END of Year TEST (replaced TCAP)

TN READY PRACTICE Assessment Bank is Called: MICA

MICA and MIST: What’s the Difference? MICA (Think “A” for ASSESSMENT practice) MIST (Think “T” for TEST practice)

Online test item sampler and test item bank An online website that will at some point be (THINK A- For ASSESSMENT opened up so we can practice portions of an Online test.

Teachers may create formative assessments using TN READY PRACTICE TEST we will NOT receive TNReady item formats scores or feedback.

TN READY PRACTICE Assessment Bank is called: MICA It is a practice “sandbox” for teachers to be able to create assessments that look and feel like TNReady MIST test.

Benefits to you and your students: a.) You can create lots of “probes” or item samplers and have students learn how to cut and paste and highlight and move objects.

What if? “I already create my own probes in Schoolnet for district benchmarks!”

Great! Remember the district benchmarks (i.e. the football game) are for the DISTRICT.

TNReady MIST is a true test of how of what our new TCAP looks like (i.e. the soccer games).

The MICA (assessment database) is a way for teachers and students to learn how to move things around on the computer and also become comfortable with the style of questions.

How do I get my students to login into the MICA assessment bank?
